an Allied game..keeps you THERE all the time!

talking with your partner, watching at his moves, fooling with others between turns..
it can be a private party

also note, that games are played at 2min, and usually those agree to play an allied game have decent ping(and dont do their battles at jinxer speed..ha!)

also, there are great fun allied maps around, like seems mineral, survivors, coastland jewels..which are both fast, challenging and entertaining(unlike CC).

the greek must be most of the time weird , but this time i agree with him, that makes me weird also

Allied is great fun, even when your teammate is an extreme whiner and weird, like the Greek.   8))))

1) i received no maps...?

2) i have no uploading powers so even if i did receive maps, i can't upload them.

3) simplest way is to just send email straight to ves, instead of me (cut out the middle-man ).  but if you want to send to me still, try both eaab@hiwaay.net and badcookiemonsta@hotmail.com.  that's the bad thing about hotmail.. if you don';t check it for a while and it fills up, then you don't receive your messages anymore until you delete some to make room  so you mighta sent to hotmail account when it was full.. who knows.

WARNING!

Imperial Prison version 1.5 is fatally flawed.  You'll notice that the linked town inside the prison compound on the teal side can not build lvl. 4 creatures, whereas the parallel town on the red side can build lvl. 4 creatures.  This gives the red side a tremendous advantage.  You are advised to delete the file from your maps folder.  Version 1.6 will be released soon.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Imperial Prison version 1.6 has been released.  It can be downloaded immediately from Laelth's HOMMaps: http://www.vandea.com/homm/maps.html.  ToH, of course, should have it posted soon.  Here's what's changed:

Quote:
Removed Guildmaster's Compendium.  Removed stealth skill and necromancy.  Corrected a serious imbalance in version 1.5 (one side was missing a lvl. 4 creature generator that the other side had).  White and red oracle quests now give equestrian's gloves in addition to all the other goodies.  Home towns now start off with town hall pre-built.  Replaced the lvl. 2 generators in the corner towns with lvl. 4 generators.  Replaced the lvl. 4 shrines near the corner towns with lvl. 5 shrines.  Returned the lvl. 4 generators that had been removed in version 1.5.  Made a number of passability improvements and slightly enriched the map with a few more resources.

This ought to be much better.  Enjoy!

it's OK, man.  no harm done.

btw, please feel free to download and check out any of the maps i have listed on my maps page.  it's very hard to get good, constructive criticism on them.  i'd appreciate any i could get.  most mapmakers i know have a hard time getting someone to thoroughly play-out a map and test it.  usually, we just lob it out there, let it get played, and see what happens.  most of the popular multi-player maps, you'll notice, end up going to version 1.1 or higher as a result of the community's feedback.  the system's not ideal, but it's what we've got.

but i'll take you up on your offer for my next one.

Consis, buddy, you're gonna love this one.

sometimes one must laugh to keep from crying ...

Ahem.  Anyone who downloaded version 1.6 of Imperial Prison from my site at any time on Dec. 30, please delete that file.  It, like its predecessor, is fatally flawed, this time by a passability error.  The error in version 1.5 was so egregious that I rushed to get version 1.6 out and created another problem in the process.  I hope, however, that I have caught it before it has done any damage.

A newer, corrected version of Imperial Prison is now available for download at Laelth's HOMMaps: http://www.vandea.com/homm/maps.html, but I make no promises about it.  Caveat emptor.  Because the map has not yet been posted elsewhere on the web and because the correction was caught so very close to the release date, I merely replaced the file with the same name.  Just delete the old version 1.6 and replace it with a new one.

I am deeply embarrased.

lol.  i feel pretty behind the curve too, consis.  at the age of 36, now, i struggle with this constant need to do as much as i can with what little time i have.  i think that makes me a bit sloppy.  i rush to complete things, sometimes, when more time is needed.  it's strage, i think, how each of us responds differently to the inevitable ...

as for the H3/H4 issue, i just like the H4 editor better.  it's prettier and much more versatile.  of course, it's also vastly more complicated, making maps produced with it more prone to error.
