the dwarven shaman and runelord are spellcasters with avarage melee, and strong spels spels.
i let them have avarage melle(not weak) because they haven't
got much spell points.

Since HoMM 5 spells haven't been released, you could make up your own spells to be placed on the Rune Lord(R.A. Salvatore is my favourite author, his books are of the same name). Have you thought about if your going to use original ones or precreated spells from previous games? Also, is he magic resistant like the Dwarves of Heroes 3?

all furnance units have 5% magic resitance.
i was thinking to leave the spells to somebody else but if you mentioned it , Runelords can cast the following spells:

1.meteor shower
2.remove obstacle
3.magma crack
4.fire bolt

You said he has little spell points. How little is little, because he has some pretty expensive spells like Meteor Shower.

he has just enough for 2 meteor showers or 4 remove obstacle or
3 firebolt or 4 magma cracks(i havent worked out the spell cost)

Level One: Doll to Manekin-Marionette Workshop
Level Two: Shade to Shadow Dancer- Assassin's Guild
Level Three: Sentinel to Red Sentinel- Armory
Level Four: Mystic to Red Priest- Crimson Temple
Level Five: Drake Rider to Red Drake Rider- Drake Roost
Level Six: Rust Dragon to Sulpherous Dragon- Rust Pits
Heroes: Might- Hunter
       Magic- Puppetmaster
