here is a problem for you guys to solve.
UNDERGROUND,Lorelei, your enemy, has ONE stack 200 harpies with
cape of velocity+orb of inhibition+
vial of life blood+armor of the damned.
Lorelei is at level one so due to fairness the hero you pick must be at level one and with his/her primary skills and stats as well. your hero can have NO arties and is only allowed to have units with a total hit points LESS than 750 and can have ONE of the 3 war machines with him/her.
who would you pick and how can you win the battle?

Simple, i would take power liches for that amount of hp.

I was gonna say 3 golds and a healing (GEM)tent .. but u said LESS then 750 hp's.
MIght give it some thought later on!@

well 3 golds won't work because the damage harpies can do is great. nice try though, much better than power liches.

I'd say gem too,2 AB's and sum weaker things and 1st aid tent

Hmm I think u will have to have a ghost dragon in it to halve the spellpoints of the harpies and i think u need Gem with her first aid tent which she starts with so u can buy the balistas as well (might lure teh harpies).

the harpies have +2 morale so you can get different answers.
I tried with 1 stack of 44 sharpshooters, and 6 singles with a ballista on Mullich.
round 1 the 6 singles with speed 11 move forward. for 6 rounds the harps kill 1 sharpshooter at a time. round 7 the harps move forward. Round 8 they hit. Morale boosts will change this.
In my example the 44 sharpshooters 1 morale, and the harpies 1 morale. I was left with 35 at the end of the battle.
reasoning for choosing ss were:
cursed still 8 damage
slow dont matter
hits with no range penalty
speed 9 + 2 from mullich means first turn i get to move the singles up before slow spell hits.
