Homm Franchise to Be Auctioned
As Celestial Heavens noted, 3d0 is being liquidated, and its franchises up for sale. What is interesting is the deposits of the auctioning off of the Might & Magic franchise.
$100,000 deposit will get you the right to hold a bid on the Homm series. Any millionaires out there? The deposit would pretty much eat up all my savings lol.
Believe me, if I had that much money I would probably get involved, it has some benefits tax-wise, and is like any other investment. Better than playing golf... Lets just hope that whatever company that does buy it puts it to real use...

EA is buying everything, it's an opportunity to add a new type of game to their collection.
Ves, If some person around wouldn't inhibited you , posting looooong replies ,sometimes boring, but now gone, i think Cosa Nostra could have been gather those money  enough for 2-3 deposits.
Damn, it was my only hope , that Mafia can protect our game, but now i'm shaken

True, chances are good for UBI soft to buy. EA is the stronger but I'm not sure if they are interested. Microsoft games could do a lot with the M&M franchise too though, I like what they did in support of AoE or Age of Mythology.

I hate to admit it, but I'd love to see that happen. Problem is, they already have the Age series in the startegy genre, and the Dungeon Siege series, a RPG (Dungeon Siege 2 is under construction). This leaves little room for the M&M and Heroes franchises.
But as far as fan sites are concerned, working with Microsoft would be much easier than working with 3DO...!

I think they accept bids until August 6, and sales will be finalized on August 14. That's what I understood from the confusing sales procedures.

I am not gone i just turn away for awile to prepair for finall strike when time will come . You never know what will happen in future and life is a secret for you.Btw mostly people playing in games like Dark Age Of camelot,Ultima Online,Everquest,Diablo II because those games has high community and you can meet alot of people wile playing and games like Homm is slowly dying only wonder can ressurect Heroes this wonder can be heroes 5 but it looks like heroes 5 does not have good development team if it had it they would already show this wonder.If i had million dollars i would buy Heroes and for the rest money gather mostly talent people around the world. Btw i think heroes 5 should be greatly changed heroes 2 i think it is good to make pictures like in heroes 2 but with 3d grafic and also take music from heroes 2 and i think Heroes 2 is best from all heroes series so heroes 5 should be based on Heroes 2 but those people who own heroes are not smart enought to choose this way and funny thing they selling right now heroes but they dont know they selling wonder they cant see it because they dont know how to open it, if this wonder will turn in hands of people who dont have talents they will make ugly game from it.

I am sure if microsoft buy Heroes you will see after this ugly hybrid, Microsoft already did ugly hybrids where is some of important aspects in game is gone, for example Dungeon Siege they Did nice grafic,nice gameplay but no high community and no private server without it Dungeon Siege become boring quickly.
And about Age of Empires i think real-time strategies become boring more quickly when MOMRPG or turn based games,you can see now in Age of empires playing alot less people when 2 years ago and in Dungeon Siege fery low amount of people. The best games at the moment like i think is Dark age of Camelot,Ultima Online,Diablo 2 LoD when 1.10 patch realise,Astonia 3,Hostile Space after expirience with games what not belong to MOMRPG i started to play in MOMRPG games and found they have much better community and usualy best gameplay.
