Ubi Soft Gets Heroes
Well i just seen the news and look like Ubi Soft have picked up HoMM and M&M from the 3do auction, but what does this mean and what ya think bout it ?
I guess the only good thing is that h5 will get made at some point as they wouldnt spend 1.3 million on the rights just to sell the old games.
lol, i think over here ( england ) ubi soft is the king of bargin bucket games, think thats where i found my RoE  just hope that when h5 comes out it dont go straight into the bargin bucket section

An Open Letter To UbiSoft
Dear UbiSoft,
Now that you have saved our favorite turn-based strategy game, I would like to see the following changes made for Heroes 5:
Zombies with Chainsaws
Minotaurs with Jet Packs
Topless Naga Tanks
If all three additions cannot be made, then at least make sure the Topless Naga Tanks are included.

That's too funny. What next? Topless medusae? More detail on the mermaids?
Anyway, here's hoping that Ubi manages to listen to the community and not rush out any old piece of garbage, slap a Heroes of Might and Magic name on it and then head for the bank.
That's the impression I got from the last H4 add-on. I mean, how are you supposed to take any game seriously who has heroes named "Spazz Maticus" and "Eurtan Revol"? I guess it's a good thing there wasn't a Life hero or he would have been called something like "Prince Precious" or some rediculous thing of that nature.
Christ! My 7 year old could come up with more creative names. It all sounds rather tongue-in-cheek.
Let's at least try to get a bit more serious about the whole thing, shall we? Umm kay?

wont b console, turnbased games dont play well on console. they will i think release the game asap tho to recoupe there investment but asap as in its ready to release not asap it'll do h4 style.

Although my post (and letter) was a poor attempt at humor, those three creatures (chainsaw zombies, jet pack minotaurs, and topless naga tanks) were indeed going to be implemented into the Heroes 3 Expansion Pack a few years ago. Due to complaints and criticism from hard-core Heroes fans, NWC decided against using them. See, I am not crazy. Really, I'm not.

we don't know what their intentions are yet but then again, is it possible there is a publisher worse than 3DO out there?

Actualy 3do had some good games, including homm and MM that is.
But is certainly hope that Ubisoft make a game better that Homm4 which was, let's openly say crap. The grepchichs were kitch, creatures ugly, gameplay was'nt good, ect. ect.
Hopefuly they'll make something of Homm3 style.

The best game i ever played is Warlords battlecry 2....
What's the worst thing about this game? is published by ubi soft.
I never saw so bad attention to tho the game, the server to play warlords battlecry 2 is pure crap, they didn't give more support than after a month, and they did never anything for this game.,... A so spectacular game throw in the garbage beacuse ubisoft is the worst publisher i have ever seen, after warlords battlecy 2 my favort game was homm3... well i think ubi sofy will kill 2nd best game too.
