Well, things have wrapped up (kind of ) nicely. Only after a few minutes Jorn realizes isn't quite as well off as he thought. In fact, the shadow bolts did some severe damage, and even he will need time to recover from them. Rose and Bear help him to the boy, who is busy healing any injured.
Darkblade, who is probably the worse off of the group, is recovering and states. "I can't believe it is all over. Everything we went through because somebody thought they were a god..or whatever. Seems to...simple."

Well it has been a couple weeks since the huge fight. Everybody is finally feeling better, and it has been rather quiet. Wylde shows up and asks everybody if they would like to participate in something.
"We are thinking of setting up some training centers in several of the towns. We want you to divide up into teams and be in charge of them. Ename, you'll head up the north team with your group. Varjo, the west team. Overlord..we got lots of people's heads that need smashing in the east team. Jorn how about the south team? What do you say?"

Overlord looks at Wylde with his red eyes. The past couple of weeks have worse than torture for this vengeful spirit. Sitting around doing nothing, worse than nothing actually - the others were trying to make friends with him! He didn't come all this way to the realm of the living to "make friends"! He could "make friends" at home in the underworld. He was holding himself back every second for the past couple of weeks and the flashy "dude" who for some unexplainble reason was the leader of the biggest organization just happened to be the last straw.
"TRAINING??? I AM A WARRIOR! NOT SOME OLDTIMER WHO CAN'T DO ANYTHING EXCEPT TEACHING YOUNGSTERS ANYMORE! I CRAVE FOR BATTLE AND BLOOD, NOT SPARRINGS WITH FEEBLE HUMANS WHO CAN'T EVEN PICK UP A SWORD!..." He stopped for a moment and spoke in a more calm voice. "HOWEVER, DOING NOTHING IS EVEN WORSE. I WILL COME WITH THIS EAST TEAM, BUT THERE'S BETTER BE SOMEONE WORTH MY TIME AMONGST THESE PUNY MORTALS OR ELSE I WON'T STOP WITH A LITTLE HEAD SMASHING!"

When you all arrive at your individual locations, you learn that things are going to be tougher then you expected. MEGA has suffered the worst of the various things that have transpired, and is stretched too thin. Several 'organizations' have been waiting for this for some time, not the least of which is CoED. So crime is at an all time high.
Most of the criminals are 'normals', but there are a few mutants amoung them. The few Mega personel just can not keep up after the losses they suffered during the fake ironclad, alien war, and demonic attacks.
On top of all this the place is run down and will need repairs, and the 'trainees' have just arrived. Its going to be a rough road ahead.

Jorn starts barking out Orders.
"Alright you Maggets..
I want Securaty and Communtions Up and running First thing.
Then we do the repairs to this Hell hole."
he points to the place.
"then find a room put your stuff in it.
After that we do drills.
After the drills..we get the word out.That we are back in bussines."

Ename arrives at his training camp and surveys the mess. Such chaos! Absolutely unacceptable!
After wandering around for awhile, he picks a large room as his central meeting hall and calls all students to the room.
"Students! I am to be your instructor during your stay here. You should be thankful; I shudder to think what Overlord will do to his class - if any of you have heard of him. Nevertheless, this is not a vacation. I want this room cleaned and organized. I want rows of chairs filling the room. Get to it."
In order to get a better view of the whole room (and show students what his powers are), Ename stands on a tall pillar of shadow in the mathematical center of the classroom. He oversees the students' activities, looking for the specific talents and flaws of each pupil.

"I'll have to conclude my sensei with this.", that's what I answered to Wyldecard a week ago when he proposed that I would start running one of their newly set up training centers. I'm bound to her in ways you wouldn't understand. Sensei didn't think object but insisted on me taking the boy with me. I still don't understand what I am supposed to teach him. He's healing skills will surely be of use tough. Fate also wanted tagged along. I like the girl but there's something about her that doesn't show out. Nevertheless I've already got the boy having fate along will only make things easier since they can play with each other.
Too bad Darkblades still in the infirmary. She would have made a good second in command and because she's a M.E.G.A. member herself her knowledge about their policies would have been invaluable. I'll have to contact her after her recovery. In her absence I selected Bloodmage as my first lieutenant. He'll make a great drill insructor and he's efficient soldier besides of his un-official procedures there's not much to complain. Only that he could have done with stronger discipline in training. I'll stand his arrogance for the time being. He'll be charged with the training of the mutants. I've been informed that they will be arriving shortly. I'll see to it that the other personel are fit myself. I've also got the raports on the base's condition. It's a dump, not enough to stand against an assault of flies not to mention retaliation from CoED. Repairing it will be high priority. The trainess will be divided into three groups upon arrival. They will have a round schedule consisting of eight hours of repair, training and free time(rest and nutrition). The personel will be charged with leading the repairs in their own areas.
I also met a few M.E.G.A. officials, who demanded that I would be sending the greenies on the field immeaditely. I turned them down firmly and explained to them that sending them out unoprepped would result in high casualty rate and that by a few weeks of training the casualty rate would diminish by approximately 50% and the efficiency of their work would increase around 100%. Normally they accepted. I continued pressing on with having the senior members accompany them on their first year runs. They were reluctant on this but after I once again explained to them that it would cut down the casualties by 90%, increase their efficience in the field around 300% and make it possible for the greenies to take part in more advanced missions besides they reluctantly agreed. This will significantly shorten the training time needed on dry runs. I'm satisfied with the results of the meeting.
There are also serious issues with equipment and weaponry. The few we have are seriously outdated and badly worn and the budget we have won't cover the costs for new ones. I'll have to think of something. Maybe I could convince the M.E.G.A. officials that running around in random uniforms won't give the right impression on the people and will make us look more criminals than authorities. That will have to wait for another time though. I'll have to let them cool down from our last meeting and I'll have to go do some recon runs and get known to the area.

Team JS - Well you have a bunch of raw recruits, so while they are trying to hustle..they take quite awhile. One man, the youngest, seems to be quite the clutz. He ends up doing more damage then good when trying to do things.
Your trainees consist of him, a rather large black skinned man, an oriental male about 40ish if you had to guess, a wolflike female (think werewolf looking), and last but not least an ashen skinned male of undetermined age or ethnic background.
Team Overlord - Your squad seems to be at least a little more seasoned (though not much). There is a rather large male with bolts all over his body, a rather small female who..is wearing a muzzle. A blue skinned lady, a older male with runes on their body, and well you are not sure WHAT it is .. looks like a giant jelly fish that flies.
Team Ename - All of your group looks young, and are about as 'green' as you can get. Both literally (all of them have greenish skin) and figuratively. All of them even look similar to the others, probably related. 3 boys, 2 girls. . The boys are hard to tell apart, and the females impossible. They could be triplets and twins respectively, or all 5 might even be quintuplets.
Team Varjo - You get probably the most..eccentric group (Though Overlord's team is deffinately a contender for the title). A boy who dresses in torn up jeans and shirts who constantly wears headphones. Black spikey hair also. A goth female with scars on her arms. A blue furry..thing about 5' tall (no ..it's not a young 'Beast' from the x-men). And a boy and a girl who's only unusual characteristic is one pure white eye (on opposite sides of their face however. The boy's right eye, the girls left).

Overlord and his team looked from a side as the trainees were shown to training grounds by M.E.G.A. personnel. As usual Overlord's face was covered by his helmet, but his eyes showed great irritation at the turn of the events. Upon his arrival at the base it turned out that he not only had to oversee the training of green recruits, but also was in charge of the whole base, which is much more than he agreed to. And if that wasn't enough the trainees arrived before he could have a look around.
Overlord inspected the troops from afar, trying to stay in the shadow. Half metallic abomination, psychotic girl, bluish female, old geezer with runes all over him... and a thing he has not seen even in the underworld - this team was certainly interesting, but over years of fighting Overlord has learned that looks have no bearing on skills. The worthiness of those people has yet to be seen. After a while of watching the recruits look around with puzzled looks Overlord spoke to his team:
"EVEN THOUGH I HAVE BEEN CHARGED WITH TRAINING THOSE YOUNGSTERS, I HAVE NO INTENTION TO RAISE MY SWORD AT JUST ANYONE. THIS IS WHAT WE WILL DO: YOU, "He points at malice, "THE WOMAN WITH THE ABILITY TO ABSORB OTHERS POWER AND WITH THAT BEATIFUL THIRST FOR BLOOD, YOU WILL BE MY RIGHT HAND AND IN CHARGE OF BASIC TRAINING. GET THEIR NAMES AND POWERS, SHOW THEM WHERE THEY CAN LEAVE THEIR BELONGINGS, THEN BRING THEM BACK TO THE TRAINING GROUNDS AND PREPARE THEM FOR COMBAT TRAINING."
Malice looked at him with evil eyes. She didn't like the situation more than him, and certainly didn't like being bossed around like that, but she acknowledged his power and the metallic armor that protected him from her touch. So with a reluctant "yes, sir." she went to greet the trainees.
Overlord turned to Rev:
"NOW YOU. I WANT YOU TO CHECK THIS BASE FOR SUPPLIES AND USEFUL FACILITIES. I WANT ANYTHING WE CAN USE FOR TRAINING OR DEFENSE BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION. WHEN YOU'RE DONE, GET BACK TO THE TRAINING GROUNDS AND REPORT."
Rev mumbled something and went away as well. Overlord let out a short booming sound, almost as if he sighed.
"THIS IS NOT WHY I CAME TO THE LAND OF THE LIVING." He looked at the girl who was still standing besides him, "NOT WHY I CAME AT ALL... ALL RIGHT, LITTLE GIRL, COME WITH ME. WE'RE GOING TO CHECK THE BASE DEFENSES."
After a short tour of the premises Overlord gave the personnel instructions on how to reinforce the defenses and went back to the training grounds. The trainees were doing some warm exercises as Malice watched them with her mean drill-sergeant look. Rev hasn't come back yet. Overlord approached his second in command and she gave him papers with all the information the rookies told about themselves. Overlord looked briefly at the papers and turned to Malice:
"DO YOU HAVE ADVANCED HAND-TO-HAND COMBAT SKILLS?"
"Off course I do! I'm not a rookie!"
"GOOD, THEN I WANT YOU TO FIGHT EACH ONE OF THEM ONE ON ONE RIGHT NOW WHILE I'LL BE WATCHING FROM ASIDE. DON'T ABSORB THEIR POWERS TO SOON, I WANT TO SEE WHAT THEY CAN DO."
Malice's face twisted with anger, but somehow she managed to control herself and went towards the trainees. She lined them up and called the first one out. The combat training was about to begin...

Here is what Malice report states.
Bolt - Age : Claims to be 303. (The guy with bolts on his body)
Sex - Male
Powers - generate electricity through his body, discharge at any 'bolt'. Also, claims to be undead and near indestructable. Neutralizers, drainers, and such seem to be unable to affect him.
Real Name : Felix Finn
Wail
Age : 24 (Muzzle Girl)
Sex - Female
Powers - As far as they can tell she is immortal. Sonic abilities. Though she can emit sonic bursts from her hands, when they are unleashed from the mouth they are much more powerful. Can not talk normally, uses 'sign' language (don't worry I will write it as normal speach, but just remember it will be in sign language).
Real name : Jaquie (Jackie) Demond
Ripple
Age : Claims to be as old as the ocean.
Sex - Female
Powers : Does not age (but is not immortal). Can control water completely, including inside another being (can make it boil, freeze, leave the body, or just about anything). Prefers to heal with her abilities over causing harm.
Real name is unpronouncable.
Arcahic
Age : Again claims to be really really old.
Sex - Male
Powers - Magic...seems if given time he can do just about anything. However, his power sometimes takes a great deal of time to activate.
Real name -Arcahic (he claims)
NX
Age: (What is it with these guys and being so blasted old?)
Sex - Not sure it has one
Powers - Flying, and .. learning things. Any knowledge it comes accross it learns immediately and never forgets it. Basically a flying library.
Real Name - Not even gonna try.
As you read her notes you notice she has put her own personal spin on somethings. It seems they put you with the ones that do not get old or are immortal.
Now as for the combat training. It becomes interesting quick.
Bolt soundly defeats Malice. She can't absorb from him..at all.
Wail is not as good as fighter as bolt, but not bad either.
Ripple is worse then bolt for Malice. She doesn't even get close. She just feezes to the spot she is at. Since she can't touch Ripple she can't absorb. Ripple won't hurt her however.
Archaic is easily beaten. His abilities just take too long to be of use in melee combat, and he IS an old man.
As for NX..it is really not a combatant. It KNOWS every form of self defense there is, but it is not really able to apply it due to its form.

The 'clutz' - Code Name : Havoc. Power - His bad luck and clutziness he can force onto any other he wants. Unfortunately sometimes that is worse then him NOT doing it. Real Name : Brad Westinghouse the fourth.
The large man - Code Name : Tiny (no..really). He can shrink. The smallest he has ever been is 1 milimeter tall. He can also grow..the largest he has been is 1,000 feet tall. Real name : Mike Mason.
Oriental guy - No code name. Martial arts, but also has a sword that can literally cut through almost anything. Also has some 'magic' that is hard to describe. Real Name : Shian Namaota
Wolf gal - Howler - In her words.."Duh..I'm a werewolf. What powers and abilities do you THINK I have?" Real name : Amanda Billings.
Ashen Skinned Guy - Ash. Something like Sandman. Real name : Tomas Tomake.

After his students finish organizing the room, Ename has them stand still in a row.
"Students! I will pass out to each of you an information sheet. You are to fill it out and return it to me by this day's end. Personal accomodations and living space are to be found by you, on your own time."
The sheet contains space for name, abilities/powers, and anything else they think their teacher should know about them.

Team Ename - As suspected they all have the same last name. Burden (Pronounced like brrrr den).
Oldest - Male - Code name - Hunter. Can find just about any thing or anybody. Also can shapeshift into any type of Canine..including some that are considered 'not real'. Favorite Form is that of a three headed dog. Often at odds with Mila. Real name : Don.
Second Oldest - Female - Code name - Opaque. Can obscure things and make them near impossible to find and/or detect..even to hunter. Very mischievous in nature. Can transform into any type of feline. Real name : Mila.
Middle - Female - Code Name - Dove. Can make anything or anybody light as a feather (They can basically fly with her help). She too can fly, even when not in bird form. However, very shy and quiet. Can transform into any Bird. Real name : Shae.
Second Youngest - Male. Code Name - Druid. Some what a mix of Bear and Roses abilities (Control of earth and transform into a bear). Compaired to him, Dove is a chatter box. Can transform into any type of bear. Real Name : Matt
Youngest - Male. Code Name : Conduit. All the others can transfer their power to him, and he can then amplify it and use it. Has no powers of his own (besides the ability to use their powers). However, all must be willing or it does not work (ie all or nothing). Can not transform. Real Name : Ducky (Poor kid).

I made a recon of the surrounding areas this morning. Mostly low income resident areas. Signs point to numerous power coalitions struggling for power. I believe that had I gone out after the sunrise I would have seen quite a few gunfights between rival gangs. There are no points of greater importance near the training facility so we should get to set things up in relative peace if we don't meddle in their affairs too early or they don't stumble upon us. I didn't notice any patrols by either M.E.G.A. or CoED. It seems neither one is foolish enough to wander here.
Yet.
The good in these gangwars is the end of our weapons problem. I believe when taken to the field the trainees will gain uniforms from M.E.G.A. officials so that leaves me only the communication and training gear.
The base's condition hasn't improved much but at least we have working electricity and nutrition systems now. The sanitary system is still out, so is the air conditioning. The roof also leaks and most of the base is still in rubles, including living quarters.
The staff is proficient. Possibly due to the late war with the aliens. Another explanation might be that this is given top priority. The officer responsible for the communications repair is especially talented. He seems like a tech wiz. Maybe I should give him the task of making portable communicators after the base has been linked to the M.E.G.A. network and interplanetary communications have been repaired. Other personel is of no special interest. There doesn't seem to be an actual training officer in the base though. First lieutenant Bloodmage and I will have to cover that.
I have sent a message to the infirmary to give this message to Darkblade when she's recovered completely:
"As you probably already know I have been given control and responsibility over one of the newly established M.E.G.A. training centers, the Western M.E.G.A. Law & Order Practical Training Center, "Discipline", to be exact. I would be honored if you would accept the position as my second in command. Contact me if you wish to accept this position."
Knowing anything about her she'll just show up at my doorstep without notifying me.
Fate and the boy have taken in the move here well. They love to play in the rubble around here, thousands of small cracks to crawl into and endless materials for building huts. They also seem to have taken up the message runner duties quite to the heart. They are extremely usefull since the communications aren't working yet and they can get around the base much faster. Hopefully they'll deal with it well when their services in that aren't needed anymore. Knowing children they won't.
