Horror Help :S

Hi, i'm searching for a really freakin scarry horror movie!!

I don't get scarred of monsters and blood and all that stupid crap..

I find movies such as The Ring, Paranormal Activity 2, Gothika, Ghost Ship and Haunting in Connecticut really scarry.. (Paranormal activity and ghosts and such is the thing. And if the movie contains a little freakin girl i get scarred alot)

Me and my girl had planned to whatch paranormal 2 tommorow night, but its not released on bluray in denmark yet, so i'm asking you to help me out with another horror movie like thoose i mentioned?

Thank you

BTW: Quarantine and Blair Witch project is not what im looking for, and neither is drag me to hell.

Try Shining perhaps? I fell asleep on that one, but it has everything you need.

You don't get scared by monsters but by ghosts and invisible stuff?

Or whatever

Mirrors had some lovely creepy scenes but unsure if that is enough for you. Have not seen a decent horror movie in a while, as for quaratine it sucks badly and drag me to hell isn't exactly horror. Sam Raimi doesn't take it VERY seriously Final destination is pretty light stuff, found it amusing really. Hostel was pretty freaky but I do not recommend it, it's more torture/porn than horror.. Original saw was nice. Loved the ring, both American and Japanese.

I have yet to find any that could beat or even match Paranormal Activity. The first one is better, imo. It's simply a gem in this genre.

Horror movies are, for the most part, a joke, especially the "ooooh, ghosts" kind.  The last movie that truly scared the snow out of me was Poltergeist, and I was about twelve when I saw it.

When it comes to horror movies, I prefer bloody monster movies, the likes of Alien, Dead Snow, etc.  Not really scary, but good fun.

I definately recommed Rec (spanish, I haven't seen the american remake yet) It is not about ghosts/spirits but maybe it is worth watching One of those rare movies that has me at least a bit freaked after wathing it.

Dude it's about zombies and firemen.

It's fun but it's still about zombies and firemen.

Though I know a guy that was unsure whether it was an actual documentary.

Speaking of which, you might like The Fourth Kind.

Army of Darkness is the best horror ever, except it's not really a horror.

I never ever felt scared by a movie well maybe when I was a child. But still,

My GF ends up really spooked up after a nice horror movie at night, while I'm perfectly relaxed, it's rather hard for me to relate

I'm the same, Doomforge. I never get scared and Horrors are one of my favourite movie genres.

And whoever mentioned the Exorcist, I have to say, that is one of the funniest movies of all time. When she is walking down the stairs with her feet and hand backwards made me laugh for ages.

But... why?
I mean what's the point of your favourite genre being films whose idea is to scare you, if you never get scared of them?

They make you feel awesome about yourself?

Oh and I mentioned the director's cut of the Exorcist. It's quite different, but needs to be watched in the best quality possible, preferably in a cinema or something. Cause of the subconscious video and audio effects which were later banned for the final release, due to people not feeling too great afterwards.

Two good horror movies I have watched fairly recently are Dead Silence which has a ghost and DOLL theme. Ugh, Dead Silence is really one of the more scarier movies I have watched as I do not get scared by gore (though there is some in it) like in SAW or Hostel.

Another is REC which has already been mentioned. It feels INCREDIBLY realistic and for good reasons too! I guess there are like zombies in it but omg, the ending is like the scariest thing I have ever seen - I swear! It is a pity thing that the sequel isn't as good and had a lame story.
