"I don't know if he sleeps, that might just be another god-power he has! If we somehow do manage to catch him sleeping, we could exploit it somehow. But if we are stuck in here, I still don't think that killing him would be the best idea. We need to find something that we can use for leverage..."

Vlad and Seth were playing pool back at the Iron Bear HQ. Most of the mercenaries were sent to a conflict in South America. Save for Uruss, Vlad and Seth were the only ones residing here.
- 7th ball, center right pocket.- Said Vlad and successfully pocketed the ball.
- Last night events were described as the biggest blow of violence since the Supervillain War.- Said Seth.
- It's only the begining.- replied Vlad.- 8th ball, upper right pocket.- The ball was easily pocketed. Vlad won five times in a row- Well, let's count. To date you've lost to me your... - He thought for a while.- Your soul and firstborn.
- I wan't another rematch- Said Seth and started setting up the balls again.
- Suit yourself.- Vlad said and emptied a glass of vodka.- also, get a fresh bottle. You're closer to the bar.
Ignoring the two Uruss lyed in his basket and was busy gnawing on a large meaty bone.

"Hmmm?" Mr. X turned towards Edmund "Ohh, nothing really. Everything and nothing. Anything indicating something strange. None-common energy waves like radioactive ones. Abnormalities in the air. Maybe something unusual that is in the ground. Tracks, traces, bullets, anything that might say what happened here. Currently I have not found much but I'll keep looking." Mr. X turned back to work as I turned to Edmund "Don't know what he could possibly find without doing a lengthy search of the area, but he has the right idea about looking." I looked around "You said there was no reason for your group to leave. If that is the case we better look around here, see if you find anything interesting or if your memory comes back." and with that I begun walking around the hole studying the ground looking for bullets, metals, weird stuff or tracks.
((This is your story Ovvie, I've no idea what to look for))

"It is questionable how much remains after more than three years. And supposedly we had left of our own accord. We'll give it 15 more minutes before we move to the next location. The one we supposedly favored over this one." Edmund said.
He climbed out of the hole, up a tall tree and jumped out the top. He circled the area from the air once without noticing anything out of the ordinary. However when he swooped down, he noticed a discolouration in the ground. He altered his trajectory and landed next to the patch. He got down on all fours and started digging in the fashion of a dog.
"Give me a hand here, this patch of ground looks wrong."
Rex Mallard looked out the window and stared at the city below him. New Constantinople looked very different from the sky, much more wholesome he thought. Around him droids moved about and preformed their tasks, carefull not to trip over the thick cable that lead from the base of Rex' head to a machine further down the room. Faintly the hum of motors could be heard.
Dr Violet stood next to Rex.
"Why are we here, Rex? And why are we flying around the city?" she asked.
"To enjoy the view, of course." Rex said, his voice raspy and metalic. A wolfish grin played around his face. "And I wanted to take the airbase out for a spinn."
Dr. Voilet found that strange. In the last year and a bit, she learned that Rex always had a purpose. He never did anything just for the heck of it. He was far to calculating for such frivolities. However, she said nothing.
After a while Rex opened his robotic hand and revealed a small remote device. He held it in front of Dr. Violet.
"Press this button, dear." He said.
Dr. Violet hesitated for a second, but took the device and pressed it. Rex indicated towards the city below.
"Now watch that city-block carefully."
As she did, she saw the block collapse into itself. Leaving a meters deep, debriss filled crater where the block had once stood. Buildings has been reduced to rubble. Dr Violet dreaded all the lives of the people in those buildings, now dead or buried and likely both.
"Now look at that block and that skyskraper and that factory building." Rex continued to point out places in the city, which one by one collapsed into deep craters.
"What did you do?" Dr Violet gasped. Rex conspicuous looked at the remote in Dr Violet's hand. With another gasp she dropped the device.
"I'm just pulling your strings, that remote doesn't do a thing. Please, why should I need a remote for anything. No I brought you here to witness the next phase of my masterplan. And it looks more spectacular from the air." Rex said grinning widely. "And if you'll excuse me, I have to tell the city that I have appropriated those recently collapsed parts of the city. And that any resistance towards my requisitions will be met with extreme prejudice. Enjoy the view while you can, we'll be landing soon."
Rex clanked away on his robotic legs.
Later a large Zeppelin landed in the greatest crater. However a few minutes later, the airship wasn't there anymore. As if it dissapeared miraculously.

Lancer strode into the alley, reading a newspaper. There were so many villains and heroes here! It was quite astonishing. He flipped through the newspaper. Nothing interested him (much) until he saw the prison breakout. He quickly read the article, then said, "Oh no. Not him." Suddenly, he heard a voice behind him, filled with anger. "Lancer. You have some explaining to do." The superhero winced as he heard Econ's voice. He turned around, to find Econ right in front of him. "Ah... It's... kind of complicated..." Econ angrily swung his fist at Lancer's face, and was sastisfied by the loud crack. He then screamed, "I DON'T CARE IF IT'S "COMPLICATED!! YOU ABANDONED ME!! ME!! YOUR SON!! AND YOU DIDN'T EVEN CARE ENOUGH ABOUT ME TO TELL THAT YOU WERE LEAVING!! I HATE YOU!! I HATE YOU DAMN- YOU- YOU.." Econ broke off. He angrily swung his fist into his father's stomach, again and again. "I HATE YOU!!!" He gave Lancer a final punch, then angrily strode away. Lancer was on the ground. He thought, "What have I done?"

Glad that she had spared the dog, Melony also sat back. "You really should eat something, you know." She sat up as she got an idea. "Wait, the dog! How does he get out to do his... Business? You can't just keep an animal locked up and expect it to remain healthy! So how does he get out?"

Melony watched the dog as he refused to leave the table. "Maybe we sould eat first, and then maybe the dog will move. besides, I don't think that he is 'In the mood' right now..." she pet Tiberius roughly behind the ears and tossed him another sausage.

Griel grunted a little bit. "Yes, that is his natural-born power. I could detect him for miles because of how unique it is. So, really, I must say that you are rather observant, Hermit. Though I think that you might be wrong about Xion being able to detect the power level of other supers around him..." Griel trailed off as its eyes lost all color for a minute. When it came back, one was purple, the other yellow. "If- if he could, then... Damn!" the eyes blacked out again, and when they regained focus they were pure yellow. "If he could detect the true levels of power of others, he wouldn't be treating me like one of his underlings. No offense, of course."

Archon woke up. Restraints? No problem. Security nanobots? Friable. Random guy in a white coat coming at him with a syringe? Also friable. He walked out and eventually came to the place where Griel and the Hermit were talking.
Archon yawned and then said, "Is there a bathroom around here?"

((ehh...actually the talk between Hermit and Griel is suppose to be around the time when Xion is in the base freeing the prisoner, but I guess we'll just say I already did that and two days have passed. Also, Xion did not put any restraints on Archon(his trying to befriend the guy.) and no mad scientists with syringe, although someone could be a bit...eager to experiment so no need to edit him out.))
Hermit raised an eyebrow at Griel's changing of eye-colour.
"If he could detect the true levels of power of others, he wouldn't be treating me like one of his underlings. No offense, of course."
"Heh." The Hermit smiled "Yeah he really is nothing but a kid, ordering others around. However I doubt he truly is as dumb as to not consider us equals in his mind. After all, the terms of our agreements, atleast mine, was 'that you'll do whatever you want, and I'll do whatever I want, but when the time comes and I call, you will come help me. And if you ever should find yourself in trouble I would of course help you.'" the Hermit nodded "I think he just acts bossy because he got most resources, and it is his form of joking or something." He shrugged as Archon came in.
"Is there a bathroom around here?"
"Ahh, Archon, you finally woke up. Yes, there is a bathroom not far from here. Turn to your right, step down the hallway, first corridor on your right and you'll see the signs." Hermit replied "Afterwards allow me to welcome you to this base and take you to your host. He is not in the base right now as he is showing and old friend of yours around the city, but I think he would find this important enough to get back here." Hermit got our a cellphone and dialed Xion "Archon is awake." he said and hung up.

After a good 30 minutes of digging, after Richard got some shovels out of the car for the other 3, Edmund held a large copper plate engraved with strange glyphs in his claws.
"How very interesting. The oxidation from this plate explains the discolouration of the soil. And unless this was planted here afterwards, this should have been found if there were any archeological digs here. I'm beginning to doubt the nature of this trip I went on. We're going to have to see the other site" Edmund thought out loud.
"Mr X? Do these glyphs mean anything to you?"
In New Constantinople all tv and computerscreens went black, all radios stopped broadcasting, every telephone-conversation was interupted. Rex hijacked every single signal in the city that could broadcast his message in one way or another. It was scarecely 15 minutes after the many parts of the city collapsed
After a few minutes of black screens and image appeared on them.
"Citizens of New Constantinople. The newly leveled areas of the city have been apropriated by the Machine Cult. Any attempts to retrieve these areas will be met with extreme countermeasures. As will any and all trespassers. You have been warned! All those who have passed in the acquisition may be retrieved in the near future at a to be designated area."
After that the signal was cut off and any and all communication was jammed for the next two hours. Every 15 minutes the message repeated itself.

- Can this freak be taken out with our tech?- Seth asked
- Firstly, the tech isn't ours. It belongs to the Evolon. Second, what we have affects only his tin cans. I think that a more powerfull blast could damage the dear admiral. But only in theory. We don't have nor time nor required skill to amplify the AI Buster. Besides, it's only copy is now a part of Mk-89 systems. No use trying now. We'll be fighting a losing battle.

Lancer heard the message, then promptly headed to the disaster area, pulling out his axe as he began to jog. Econ turned on his TV, just in time to see the message. He swore, got his gun, and jumped out of the window onto the roof nearby.
