I don't think that fair lady is a wraith mate, she's a lich, wraiths don't have legs lol
So they don't. OTOH, she's clearly wearing the robe of a Wraith (or possibly a Wight), while her male counterpart wears the robe of a Vampire Lord. This is the only hero class that sees such a dramatic difference between male and female members.

Yes Rampart heroes on unicorns, of course. Nightmares would perhaps fit Inferno better, but then we also need a Nightmare unit imo, it could be a neutral lvl. 6 unit with some unique ability(ies). Bulls for Dungeon hmm I don't know, I don't really think it fits, I know minotaurs kinda resembles bulls but still...
I feel like Tower should have something special, but don't know what it could be.
Yes i was thinking about that too..Nightmare would be lvl 6 inferno neutral,like unicorns only opposite,becouse in heroes 3 we have many opposite units(angel-devil,cavalier-black knight,wizard-lich and many more)..Maybe some special abilities like fear,becouse we fear of nightmare..it makes sense.. Special horse for tower heroes,dont know,maybe something witch resembles to cold and ice,opposite of infernos fire and lava..

VCMI is already playable but it's a different environment. Hota has a Hota feel and I didn't even install the port in VCMI.

Neither did I. IMO HOTA is more immersive, while VCMI is more open, but so much of the content created by other people isn't immersive. WoG was the same, half the 'new' buildings seemed to have come from Cossacks: European Wars, and some of the rest were recolours of already existing buildings (two different hoards that were recolours of the Hill Fort f.e.), and that just didn't work for me.

Indeed was.
Now with Era II it's SoD and all the rest is toggable (you even have "Safe SoD" mod). The map editor still is the best one (for me on a large part due to Fred objects), the only downside with it today is the 9 towns limitation really.

Can we have more news about 1.5.0? New estimated release date, screen shots, comments...?

Just kindly asking, not demmanding I have no right to do that, I understand any delay for a no commercial project and I am happy with that because I think that it means that you are willing to release a version as good as possible. Just I am looking forward to play 1.5 so desperatly that I can avoid asking again

Is the forge concept going to be (should you guys decide and revive it) very different from the NWC one... I recall something of the sort mentioned earlier

Sadly Forge Town isn't very popular, but in terms of spiritual heritage I would do it if I had the time and the skill. I too remember if Forge were to ever be implemented it would be altered in order to not clash visually and therefore be themed differently, or something similar Nik said a few years ago IIRC. I think it was Avonu who mentioned elsewhere some NWC members were not satisfied with the ongoing theme back in the days and were envisioning something more Jules Verne-like. That said I would love the original theme in Hota, but I know many players are against it.
At any rate I would fully embrace any kind of yet new towns in Hota, that is if the crew is willing to work on it at some point and it all depends on their preferences and priorities.

I wouldn't mind a Forge Town if it were Steam Punk stuff, like they did in Dungeon Siege for instance. The original Forge Town concept from 3DO was high tech stuff, it didn't sit well with me (keep in mind that I never played the M&M RPG games, only the TBS games).

Heh, yeah i know what you mean. It didn't sit well with me either...then I saw HoTa guys were serious on releasing it... So I decided to try and understand it - I went on and played through M&M 6 to 8 and ended up loving it.

Anyway, I was just wondering above anything else.

I also agree. High tech forge (electric devices, rays...) wouldn't sit well on Heroes III. But a no so modern approach (Jules Verne, steam, Leonardo da Vinci...)would be interesting, so it would bring a new kind of things to the game (not more of the same) without disturbing the current visuals of the game. Maybe a tweak for enable/disable this new city, units, artifacts, heroes... would be good too (if possible).

If Hota ever makes forge, it is the one NWC envisioned. That's the only Forge I'd love to see. Shame NWC never made it avaliable.

It's certainly true that the idea of the Forge concept can take a lot of time to sink in properly. My own initial reaction was very negatively expressed towards it in fact. However, I've learned that it's often unwise to criticise things before at least allowing your thoughts to mature first. I now personally feel that it more comes down to the execution rather than the Forge being a good or bad concept in itself. It does seem like a huge challenge to integrate the Forge in a natural way, but it does definitely have a very strong theme. And it has a legacy with the HMM series that's very interesting, too, to consider.

I'm pretty sure that the crew would never make the Forge optional, per say, if it was ever released. But I could imagine that it might be released as being part of a new expansion pack, with a brand new name, including a new campaign, etc. A serious amount of work, no doubt. I could be mistaken in any of my assumptions, of course.

Anyhow, it's quite fun discussing the Forge and the like, but to me it feels too premature that I would actually seriously want it right now. But in its own time and right, I'd be something that could be very exciting.
