Cherry Question(s)

I've got some ToH questions regarding the cherry rule.  If I remember it correctly, you get cherries if you're a squire or higher and play 90% or more of your games against recruits and low-ranking footmen.  This is confusing to me.  Here are my questions:

1) What's a low-ranking footman?  1000 pts. or less?  700 points or less?

2) When does the program start counting games against recruits and low-ranking footmen?  Are only the games played after becoming a squire counted toward cherry-status, or are all games counted against the player (even though the player was, perhaps, a recruit or a footman when those games were played)?

3) Once attained, will cherry status ever go away?  Can one just play a couple of games against squires or higher-ranking people and make them go away?

Thanks in advance to whomever tackles these questions.

Ask Uncoated, she knows all you need to know about recieving cheries & the easiast way of earning them.
Also the good thang about a cherry claimer is how mad they get when they lose.
She will know I am sure the question will be answered

1)  It's subjective.  Depends on the situation.

2)  The games you played against footmen and recruits before you became a squire won't count against you.

3)  Don't get a cherry icon and you won't have to worry about it  The cherry is actually pretty hard to get, and if you're worried about getting one, chances are you're playing enough higher-ranked people to keep it from happening.

Hia all
Well thanks a bunch Motor! No wonder you are QP hunting !
When I started playing I was, as 9/10 are, a bit confused by the varaity of links, *handed* to me in the lobby. Then I meet Greystole and he took me under his weeflea wings and wham bang ...I had 1.4 / 3.2 ! And for that I am greatful. After playing a bit I just made a primitive installation guide for other players. And some players have followed it , and now they are playing h3 ( ain't that YOUR area ? ) so you can say what you feel like but I know for a fackt that my little thread acually have helped some players to get things going. I made the thread, but I owe it all to Lee a.k.a. Greystole and his longtime weeflea.org !
Sure I have played new players in my time, but I have been creamed several times by new players and I have creamed several new players. Is that a problem for you ? if that is the case, all I can say is ... ....

Yes i know what you do.
He takes you under his Weeflea wing.
Then help the noobs to get started 7 they respect you.
All of a sudden boom you play them for thier points.
You use noobs so you can gain points & care nothing for them.
I heard some stories & embarassing losses or if you feel that the loss was not fair & just flamed them.
You cant deny it you cant handle losses much.
You use noobs to get them to like you then destroy them, with the charm that will just want them to play you again.

So, what I'm hearing is that Ves. or some other ToH moderator has to actively assign cherries to someone.  There's no automatic program that will assign them. Is that correct?

Aculias, yes maybe she has killed a couple of n00bs in her days but dont forget that she is also the reason for many of these n00bs to stay...meaning they dont play a goof and the game includes drops and bad manners etc and the n00b gets sick of this game and switches to another one... thnx to Lisa i guess that many of these n00bs are now a part of TOH which means more players to play... i dont see that as a bad thing, nor does it bother me that Lisa kills these n00bs as long as they still like the game and keep playing it. What does her points has to do with you anyway acu?

Heheheh Stiven you know nothing & what does her points mean to me, nada I care nothing for poitns even though she owes me either an apology or a loss in both W&W & TOH .
SOme people can push me only so far then i just dont care what that person does.

Stiven you dont understand, she lures them into liking the game more & they dont even know what she is trying to lure them in to steal thier points.
Only when she loses to the noobs do they really know.
I care nothing about her points but i care for the noobs she trains.

I think it is a bad way to lure enemies & then flame them to death if they win.
How can you tell me that is hounererable.
I played many noobs & even lost to a complete noob on a random because the temp favored him Tristan .
I never got mad once & was proud of him to get his confidence up.

ugh!

i dunno what you're talking about really, and i don't much care - but i do know its getting pretty aggrivating to see things that should be kept between the people involved being put up here for all of us to see.

so far as i know, UT does a lot to help newbies, her post here i bet has helped many people, so on here how bout we just focus on that?

the rest of it, you should settle with her in private...
and no, acu, i don't mean to flame/attack you, its just that i'm very tired of always reading this kinda stuff here.

LichKing gave you one..

Generally you will get a cherry if you are playing almost exclusively with newbies to gain rank. The administration uses common sense and can spot the difference between occaisonally playing a newbie to help them out, or fun - or playing them solely to get yourself up higher on the ladder.

pandora,

Thanks for your reply.  I think I understand now.  It's a subjective administrative decision (to give someone cherries), and not an automatic-response computer program.  I appreciate your assistance.
