gotta use a sacrifice stack
thats why I like havin a stack of 1 centaur or some weak creatures that can hit that stack of lvl 7's first so my mighty cows dont have to take the retaliation

Ive once sat during an entire game wondering why my death stare didnt work, only to realize after the game, that my opponent was playing Necro

leatned a lesson other night  don't play online with 2 min turns when you're sick and on major painkillers I've been taking tylenol with codein for my sore throat. played a game with wacko and got mightily wacked!! spent whole turns looking at screen thinking how pretty it was before realizing it was my turn

What's really annoying is when you are playing a game that you have been playing for weeks, and just at the end of your turn the computer kicks you off of Heroes. It's even more annoying when it happens to the same damn game 2 or 3 times in a row.
And it's just gets damn worse when it is a hotseat game, and your friend kicks your butt right before the crash... that way you can savor getting your butt kicked again and again!

Most annoying thing for me...
You're playing a map where there is lot of water and you're main town is close to water.
You aren't sure, should you leave the town as there might be bad luck someone finding way to your island when you're gone.
You buy new hero to search the sea so you have "neutral zone" and can notice earlier when the opponent is coming. However everytime you send this new hero to search opponent attacks him from the unknown and he dies.
Then you take something to strenghen your mind and go with your main hero to the sea. You leave some troops guard your main town so not any weak hero can take it.
You're cruising around carefully and just when you're reaching something important opponents ship comes to horizon near your main town and it's clear he will make to the town before you. And this time around his hero is his main hero and he takes your town likes it candy. Now that you're sailing back he buys all the troops in the start of new week. You win the battle but you're sure that all your chances for win are gone...
This of course can happen in map where there aren't so much water but it's lot more annoying when there's lot of water and you have to sail back.
In some maps computer opponent sends some weak hero again and again to your island and in the end there are more abandoned ships at your coast than there were ships in invasion of Normandy during WW2.

Speaking of Mighty Gorgons
Played a game last night (not finished)....Desert War, random towns....I got Fortress, opponent Stronghold. I figure I may be done before end of month. Instead, opponent slowly builds and explores.
Anyways.....I am in the middle with my main and a bunch of troops. He heads to my second town, then backs down to the town in the middle. I am close enough for him to attack, so attack he does. Looks like will be the game decider.
He attacks with Ancients, Thunderbirds, etc. against my weaker main and Chaos Hydras, Mightys, Basiliks, etc. Battle goes down to wire....my Mightys were a blessing (death stare rocks)...and the basiliks did a couple of stones (on Cyclops Kings and Orc Chieftans). What could be better....or should I say, what could be worse!?
I will tell you what.....he was down to 28 Tbirds and a healing tent. I had 7 Chaos Hydras, 10 Mightys, 2 Stoners, 80± lizard archers, and a healing tent. I had the battle won.....or so I thought. The game "burped", opponent is gone, pc takes over turn as if battle had never happened. ARGHHHHHHHH!!!!
((It was after midnight....decided to pick up later from autosave - should be dismissing troops to same levels and finish battle))

.. and another nice thread brought back to the front...
I played Fortress yesterday.. week 3, day 1: Week of the Gorgon... yippie! I thought.. told my opponent (I was red)... NOOOOOO! he said... looked into my castle and what did I see? Only 6 Mighty Gorgons there... so week of the Gorgon doesn't apply when the dwelling is already upgraded ??? didn't know that before... how annoying!

My wife almoste finished Camelot: Mordred's Curse.
Yes almost.....just when I was watching some movie on te TV a terrible soud emerged from the computerroom (I've got a room esspecially for the computer - used to be the garage ).
It was my wife. The game crashed. The AUTOSAVE and the last time she saved couldn't help her. The game kept on crashing at the same moment in the computers turn.
Don't you hate it when that happens ..... LOL
She was kinda dangerous the rest of the weekend.

Things i hate are as mentined many times before I'm sure..
1.Getting disc'ed while playin in the Zone(crappy MSN)
2. Getting disc'ed every 15 minutes!!!! 10 times in a row!!!
2.Forgetting to switch flags/colors on autosave(since default for loader is red, which is not always my color of course) before loading
3. Having someone think I'm cheating cuz I accidently forgot to switch colors
4.Having to reload cuz I accidently/ignorantly attacked a powerful stack of critters and lost main hero
5 poeple who say "hurry up man" or "ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ" when I've only been playing for less than one minute with no fights.
6. Same people commencing to take a 10 min turns
7.Forgetting to build something at a crucial time (say week 1) I think they should have a window that pops up at the end of turn saying "You forgot to Build this turn,stupid!! Are You sure u wanna end turn?
8.Only having 3-4 hours to play before going to work
9. Going to work
10.Trying to find ur opponent that u hafta continue a game with since u had to leave for work.
11. Not being to wakeup/go to sleep in time to get a game in before going to work---oh wait thats me right now..shoot gotta go to bed..bye guys

most annoying things
1. Getting necromancy arctifacts at the beginning of the game, when I'm playing tower! 
2. Opponent dropping misteriously after they engage a stack of monsters
3. Dirty Mouses (I wanted my archangels to attack those dragons, not to move them to the hex just before the dragons!!!!)
But the MOST annoying that can happen to you is to get the necromancy skill in a witch house without playing necro. If you keep the skeletons,you have your hero slowed down,-1 morale and if not, you have to dismiss the skeleton stack after each battle!

Yes, i know, but in small ( or medium? ) like stranded, I don't think it's worth sending again your main to the subterranean hut, when you can take it when you go for your second castle. At least in this map, coz probably I'll end the game without using all the slots

How many times
am I gonna pass all my troops and arts from my main to another hero to take a mine and then attack the guardians with my main?!?!? Dammit, I did it again last night
Another thing I hate is having to turn down a stack of joiners because I'm walking around with all my slots full and there's no room for em.

sooo annoying!!
Playing on aan amazingly artifact rich map like Houre Glass 3 and still haveing to go into final battle with nothin better than a +4 flail and crappy +2 shield !! Now that's annoying!!

You're in a battle with your opponent and it's his turn to move one of his troops. He takes the opportunity to chat to you. The op. types what ever he has to say and instead of waitng for your reply to his witty repartee he moves his troop. Unbenounced to you!! You look away from screen and start typing a reply only to find the comp has has booted you outta chat to write to you it's own crap about what's going on on the screen and you've HOTKEYED YOUR LVL7'S INTO DEFENDING !!!@#$%$##@!!!! If you're lucky that's all that's happened. I once retreated my whole force by freaking accident that way once!!
P.S: Moral of the story?
AFTER YOU CHAT SOMEBODY IN A BATTLE, PLEASE HAVE THE DECENCY TO AWAIT THERE REPLY!!@!!!!! SOME OF US CANN'T TYPE WHILE LOOKIN AT THE SCREEN!!!
P.P.S.: Outside of the major annoyance this causes it's actually kinda funny

just a little thing...
Every once in a while, as i'm ending my turn i'll get that message that i haven't moved one or more of my heroes.. and as i play 2 minute turns i'm generally beeping away at this point.. so i start clicking through all my heroes to see who hasn't moved -in case he's someone important in a link - only to find that my game is outright lying to me! everybody moved, but that one guy has that false step, so i panic for nothing

nothing more annoying than when..
I am playing in the zone and after the first couple of days i get disconnected while online. so i have to connect again, go back into the zone, apologise to my oponent, start from the autosave and then couple turns later i get cut off again.
Going into battle at the start but without a spell book aargh...
Also i pick a good hero for my starting town and then in the tavern i get two more good heroes so i have to decide which one is better. then the next week i get two more good heroes as well, which is driving me nuts.
and that is for starters.
