Noob Ranking System
I have read many posts on this forum with vets refering to the not so skilled players as "noob". Anyone that is new to online gaming (myself included) already accepts the fact that he/she is a "noob". Now, I've seen some posts where "noobs" are looking for other "noobs" to challenge in a game. With the replies I see, and the people who are replying, claiming they are a "noob", I often see a huge difference in skill level. What I am looking for here is a ranking of "noobness" from 1 (total beginner, just found out that master gremlins can shoot) to 10 (knows all of the basics, chaining, etc... but still claims to be a "noob").
So, that being said, lets come up with a name to go with the degree of "noobness" on a scale of 1 - 10:
I will start with 1 (since that is where I rank myself)

Much of what I've learned on HoMM3 was by playing the computer or playing hotseat. Then I came to HC and discovered a new world.
But the noob thing is actually 2 sided; it is considered to be a n00b if you have been less than a year on HC
and
it is considered a n00b one who has never played on the zone.
I have all the knowledge of the game, but still fit the 2 categories above. I am a Noob that knows alot about the game!

I thought that people were going to Post at which point of the scale they consider themselves to be. Or am I completely wrong???
Either way, I guess we should wait until LKru "says his peace" before any decision is made. Or since I'm just a lowely dOOb, feel free to ignore anything that I am babbling about!

I guess the vision of this thread was to get a small scale ranking system for the Noobs. That way, when people like Angelito come in and say "hey, I'm a noob too", everyone new to the board can refer to the list and see that he is really a "goob"* (Vet status making a Guest appearance as a noob)
It seems as though all spots are filled with some sort of rank discription. Maybe we can take a look at our finished product and see if the rankings make sense? Me personally, I think Choob should be higher on the scale than roob or loob
After that, perhaps we can associate our own names with these rankings (more than 1 name may apply to a ranking).
This post was supposed to be a little informative for the "noobs" with a dash of humor to make things fun!!

Perhaps what we might do next is write up a detailed description of each n00b to further clarify
It might help to explain how each n00b reacts in particular gaming/chatting situations. Seeing these examples might make the new n00b readers identify themselves sooner, and thereby avoid any potential n00bish disaster

nOObish Disasters...
We wouldn't want any of those! I remember the time, way back in '04, when just such a disaster took place. Back in my day, we called it the HoMM Meltdown of '04...but I'm not sure what these new young "whippersnappers" call it today.
Anywho...it involved a few colorful characters and a dispute over reading each other's Posts. It was gawd awful...I tells ya, they were heeing-&-a-haaing about "You should read over my Post before you go ahead and say...blah, blah, blah..." back-forth for the longest time!
We all thought it was never goin' to end...just like farmer Jim's love-affair with his new tractor. Well, back to my story...uhhhh...where was I? ***snore***...***snore***...

Oh...it was you, just waking me up...Ok, so here were these guys going bananas on each other over some little misunderstanding, right?! Finally, I just says to 'em:

Well, as soon as they had filled their bellies with some good food and a cold drink, things settled right back down to normal. AND THAT, is the story of the HoMM Meltdown of '04...
