Elle , Elle
I would go with Elleshar only because he looks cool and I played a lot with him. Also he has the starting spell curse and good chances of getting fire magic .

For me Ayden, please
INFERNO RULES!!
Really, his starting spell (view Air) sux but he advances more on power and with his Intelligence skill this is a great balance. Elleshar is not bad either but I'm just not falling for druids.

Ayden starts with View Earth. In MP game, view spells are invaluable, especially if you're playing in a map you're not familiar with. I love Intelligence-specialty hero and Ayden's one of my favorites.

Always Elleshar because...in the ToH maps that I play it is imperative to sacrifice those not needed artifacts to gain yourself a few levels. Evil heroes (Ayden) cant do this. This is the only reason, otherwise they are pretty much the same (apart from the normal difference in skill progression

I've become an expert at demonology (pit-lords), and I enjoy it... so normally I'd pick Elleshar (because I like him), but the difference between Inferno and Rampart would make me choose Ayden (even though he looks like a geek!).
In overall effectiveness, I believe Ayden will gain a greater spell power, so i think Ayden would be better.

I should propably go with Ayden, but Elleshar's
Intelligence specialty and the spell curse are VERY nice.
Intelligence is also quite nice in those maps with few Magic Wells and long distance travel. Of course, that is not a problem if you got the Wizards Well...

Don't forget
those 2 start with one and the same specialty. The only difference is their starting spell and class.

Am I the only one who reads everyone's post? Look, Ayden will give you more power on an equal level basis. But..., Elleshar will almost always be a higher level because of artifacts he can sac.

Ayden, definitely, for his growth in melee power will surpass Elleshar's. It will take a long run for Elleshar to prevail with magic power, though the time would most likely be too short for Elleshar to build this up.
IMO. (=

Ayden would be by far the better choice imho.
Higher chances in getting Air, armorer, offense, tactics.
Chances for earth are both the same. Elleshar has advantage in logistics, that's all.
Druids prefer (highest chances) luck, first aid, scholar and eagle eye besides wisdom, while Heretics just annoy with their very high chance for mysticism. Everything else is pretty balanced.
After level 10, a Heretic has 25% for each primary skill when levelling up, while a Druid still tends more to knowledge and spellpower.
So if I had to chose a magic over a might hero anyway, Ayden would be the choice.

Ayden is good than Elleshar because of Heretic stats.
BTW in Rampart town Mage Guilds don't learn Curse spell but Elleshar starting spell is Curse this is ironic

Elleshar easily for me.
While Ayd gets more spell power...more knowledge...means more spell points.....meaning I can keep lasting longer then Ayd.

No, with Elleshar you'll get more SP than you need. Those skill points are much more useful when being added to Attack, for example.

Yep. But you can use your spellpoints only ONCE each round, while I can use my attack + my offense + my armorer seven times each round (depends on army of coruse...).
You can only resurrect ONE army each round. When they are dead, and I place one of my armies on the dead corpse, you even can't resurrect them anymore...
And if you have Rampart army, you can't resurrect your gold dragons without black orb....
Think of it
