hi guys
I did not know where to write this, but I would be grateful if someone could tell me where to find such facilities (as for example Maretii uses during his games) that enable a player to switch armies between heroes really fast.

Perhaps something to add for a fiction-faq?
But does anyone know what opera the "good guys" and the "bad guys" parts are from in HoMM 2.
Also are there two different versions of vocals in HoMM 2 or just Vocals and Midi versions?
Also if someone knows the correct translation (there are a bunch around. The first is about god or goodness and the other about selfish demand)?

Hello,
Since I am unable to post a new thread, and this one seems best,
I am playing Heroes III Complete (Pre-WoG) mostly single-player, very rarely hot-seat with friends when we're extra drunk. I don't like WoG and etc., prefer the original game.
I would like to play random 8-player maps with many castles, powerful creatures, and plenty of space for exploration, something like Free For All or Back For Revenge. Neither built-in random map generator nor scenario editor can satisfy my needs. Also, I really hate teleports.
So, what I basically want is some means for generating XL-or-bigger world for 8 players, rich (full of different castles, dwellings, and other objects) and without teleports (subterranean gates are ok if not too many).
As far as I understood from reading the forum, XXL patch with default rmg could possibly suit my needs, but all links are dead and it seems noone cares to reupload it. And, maybe, there are better options.

I modified Jebus template to suit your needs. Teleports shouldn't appear (they appear only when there are many zones in a template so I kept their amount at minimum). Map is very rich. If you have any additional requirements (like neutral dragons dwellings), feel free to let me know. Also it's now compatibile with XXL patch.

Wow, thanks a lot! Neutral dragon dwellings of all kind would be fantastic. However, there is no XXL patch for Heroes III Complete included, and I can't find a download link anywhere.

You can use wog xxl patch and get what you want.
a) Install Era 2.46 over complete edition (will not overwrite anything)
b) Download SoD mod from Era mods thread
c) Download XXL mod from same thread.
Use era.exe to start the game, tick whatever options you need in SoD mod then here you go. You won't have any of the wog scripts active, just SoD + what you selected from proposals.

I split middle zone into 6 smaller ones and changed neutral town generation method there, what allows dragons' dwellings to spawn.
There is a chance that no neutral dragon dwellings will appear - it's random, but I tried to maximize the odds without adding too many zones (what spawns teleports).

With AlexSpl and kicferk we polluted a bit the strategist thread and I apologize. First I was just asking for some infos but it finally ended in several pages with erm gibberish. It starts HERE.
If Angelito feels the whole discussion should be moved, then please move it HERE, since the mod is the fortunate result of our discussions. Also the contribution of Kicferk and AlexSpl is more than noticeable, given my natural maths aversion, so I recommend each a qp for their patience. Hallelujah.

Great work you 3 did there. Don't have the abilities to move single posts to different threads though, therefor I will just keep them where they are. I think it's a good reading, especially for those who want to see all the steps you 3 found until you finally did the job
