So... a little more than one week left of March and no patch and no further announcements... Nice improvement in communication.
I don't know where you live, but March still has 12 days left, not including today. So I'd say it'd be rather closer to two weeks than one.

They're announcing an announcement. It's better than no announcements at all, right?
Right?

Ubisoft Game Launcher is separete program - it's UPlay client, not HoMMVI client. It doesn't mean that any patches are coming.
Just like Steam updates - they don't mean that your games will be update too.
Game Launcher and the game are two different things and I don't think they are connected (so Launcher could be updated by other Ubisoft team, not related to HoMMVI franchise).

nope, they're related alright. From my experience so far (with other games that use launcher aswell), the launcher update usualy means patch is coming soon. Developers update their launcher to prepare it for patch (it can be a week or even more in some cases between them tho), so i think it's fair to expect patch will come sometime at the end of this week or begining of next one for sure
Steam is diferent thing, as steam is client for buying games, and so does not realy "care" about updates of each individual product they're selling. (tho i may be wrong coz i never buy from steam - I'm old school and like to have my games on a shelf for display + my internet is so slow (50kbs), it would probably take more than a week to download full game)

Avonu is right, they are largely unrelated. The launching client was updated 2 or 3 times between October and December while people were anxiously waiting for the real patch. The situation was the same during the beta too. The fact that the client gets updated means nothing on its own - the game patch could arrive in 1 day or 1 month or more. Besides, the launcher seems to be maintained by Ubisoft while the game - by Black Hole.

hmmm i guess it makes sense ... at least now i know they're not related - guess i lived in missconception (however you english folk spell it)
Still I think it won't be long now at any rate - they said second half of march so... there.
Come to think of it - If patch notes are correct than we are technicaly waiting for patch that.... wont fix anything? (except conflux) so yea...

How about now? Can I ask directly for the patch, skipping the missing communication?

It still can come but that is certainly only a part of the issue. They came up more than one month ago (for exact date ask War-overlord he is better with time than I am ) with a new radical "look": "No more playing mysterious, relax guys we are working again on this sh*t, we have a plan now, will patch 2'nd half of March and please, stay tuned for more details". What do we get? Business as usual! No further info, no patch.
If the company responsible for such a large project (which is in the dumpster anyway) acts so unprofessionally immaturely and cannot have/keep some deadlines, or at least communicate with us, leads me only to lose the grain of hope I had for the future of this game.
Well... Diablo III is coming! See you all there.

I've giving up on a Heroes 6 being patched again anytime soon. Too little has been done with the game since release. Until an expansion is announced, Heroes 6 shall collect dust in my virtual library.

Until now I thought H6 devs were terrible but now with all the communication they are doing and the patch released before dealine, I feel I'll have to rethink about them.

@krs, I guess your beef is not the actual patch 1.3 release date since it's not end of March just yet? (no big deal if they don't make it by few days anyway - February was what it should have been if they were to keep up with H5)
Maybe this will be the nice April fool's joke
I couldn't care less about more communications - the true judgement is in how much they actually do. I don't think everyone believed all of what they promoted in this "plan" of theirs & we'll all see whether their "plan" turns out close to my prediction (stated on last page) or not
Even on the communications front, as long as facebook & twitter remain their first / primary point of communications, I can guess how badly out of synch they are with what it should be.
One thing I am curious about is confirmation or denial of BHole rumor.
@DoubleDeck: you're getting a bit more negative
@Dave_Jame: 3 days of work is enough to do this patch right?

I guess I am special and I want to learn more in advance about their plans to fix a rather expensive and not fully working product I've bought from them.
So far they kept us in the dark for months, did not do sh*t to improve the game (or for small improvements it took them forever). They've promised to change and... nothing changed.
I could not care less about H6 communication if the job would have been well done and the contents just right. But since that is hardly the case here, I am very curious/cautious about the path they wish to go.
H6 collected dust for 2 months after release and it's starting again to gather some.
PS. As a side-note: I have a small group of friends (4) (fans since H2) that do not buy the game because from what they see they do not like the state it is in. Not to mention my girlfriend would like to play it but under her owns account. Guess what! unlike other games where you can set up multiple accounts this one requires you to buy another version.
So if they are not "convinced" to buy it... how long will I continue to play it? (Hint: right now dust collected is 2 weeks thick and like I've said Diablo III is coming).
