Random Map - Boxed in?
I love the random map feature, it's great that you can always get a new map, but! I don't know if it's me that is lacking the knowledge of some key gameplay element or if the generator is bugged. But the last 4 maps I've played on I'm totally boxed in. I often get quite a big area, but I always find it surrounded by mountains, trees and lakes so I can't get out too the rest of the world and take down the AI. I tried using waterwalking on the lake but it didn't work. Any enlightenments? =)

It happens but it's rare. Four times in a row means you are really really unlucky or you dont use the monoliths.

It means he uses regular generator if 4 times in a row. Get templates from HD mod, will almost never happen.

I played a lot with normal generator before HD mod, 4 times in a row is still very unlikely.

Mm, yeah. I usually have general bad luck. I guess I'll just have to keep rolling maps and hope for the best. Oh, and I discovered you can learn a flying spell. So I managed to get out.
