A Very honorable mention!
I'd just like to let the community know about a game I played today vs an EXTREMELY honorable opponent.. Which I am sure most of you already know.
Anyway today playing circle of life vs Basu.. We had too save and take a break, This day I was breaking through the underground barrier.. little did I know that Basu's hero had died to the battle on the far side, the previous day.
Fighting the battle upon the save loading, I won it. Began to collect Basu's artifacts and poof game crash. Luckily Basu was watching, and saw the enemy die. and my hero standing there.
So we reloaded.. And I fought the battle again, and due to some very lucky morale on their part in rd1 of a very hard fight. I lost it.
Basu offered me the reload, knowing full well that it may well cost him the game.. On the reload, I killed the army again, and stole his artifacts from the tombstone on the floor....
That to me is a very honorable gesture and EXCELLENT Sportsmanship!
And Basu has definately earned a revenge game whenever he likes

That is a great story Destro... it is wonderful to know that there are still some players in TOH that play for the enjoyment of the game, and NOT just the Win. IF something goes hay wire in a game, I always will offer a reload.
And I have noticed about H4 that when you reload and refight a battle, the creatures get better morale etc, and the outcome does change dratically. That is one thing I liked about H3 you could replay a battle and recreate the battle. I dont know howmany times I have attacked a huge battle or opponent gotten the morale and killed there hero etc, then game crashes and when reload and refight I enter battle and this time dont get the morale and his hero retreats. The sad part about it is, how many players concider this fair and plays on.
ANyways, so it is refreshing to know there are players of character left. I am looking forward to playing Basu in future. =)
And also Destro if he ever makes time =P

I must say, it's wonderfully refreshing to read a thread like this one.
The contrast between how often people will take the time to compose a post or an email complaining about an opponent they had in a game and how often someone takes the time to write something complimentary about another player is amazing.
It's great to hear about people in a positive manner like this. It's beneficial to the ToH community, also, because it gives the general membership a heads-up on who the more enjoyable games are to be had with.
Thanks for the thread, Des

From my experience the game will only do two random variable "seeds". The first one is obviously the first time you play through, and then a second round of variables is seeded the first time you load. This seed will remain the same even after you re-load subsequent times.
There is no bias in the seed, from what I can tell (and I have done literally hundreds of battles where morale was important while testing my latest RPG map), towards giving the enemy better morale. I have had it happen that I have gotten better morale, enemy not getting better morale etc.

Thanx all :-)
I only did what I thought was the right thing!
Tc, I tried to rush him but my hero died and i didn't have time to get him back before Destro showed up and placed alot of lvl 4 creature above the tombstone.
Not much I could do after that :-)
But I enjoyed the game, even if i lost.

You are a gentleman Basu and Destro also for posting this here!
We obviously can't start a list of really crappy, dishonorable people out there... But maybe we can post the names of those who are decent, honorable players who we would like to play again and who we would like others to know about.
Could we start a thread where the "good" ones are acknowledged? Maybe tell the Mods to remove ANY discussion of "bad" ones?
Don't get me wrong.... I like to know who the bad ones are but it's toooo easy to put a good guy on the bad list for a misunderstanding.
Maybe only Squires and above can add names? Or Barons and above can add names? I dont care. I do know that I will read it and keep track of who is on it.

surprisingly
most players i did(or did me) are cool
maybe beacause competition is softcore compared to other seasons..?..counts too,we are all nice when pressure's off.
fact is,environment is friendly ,rather passive though.
