Shouldn't Dragon Golem be on this list? Or is this because he is mechanical? Anyway, I wouldn't vote for him, I voted for Faerie Dragon because I love spellcasters.

it's hard to choose between spellcasters and spell immunity. All are nice to have. Faery Dragons was my choice just because I hate loosing even 1 Dragon unit in melee fights and Faery Dragons are shooters. Statistically I have reasons to believe that I can keep them longer in the game.

Hmmm yes
I'd say if I was fighting with order (my usual army)then had the choice I would pick BD as I go for an archery army, so a nice mellee unit is good. If I have nature (second army) I go for FD because they suit my style. I tend to go for the one that suits my style of army or the enemy I am fighting.

If I could I would vote for dragon golem, but since I can't I would have to say Bone Dragon. With vampiric touch they can clean house. As for Black Dragons, the spell immunity can be as much a disadvantage as an advantage. I have consistently avoided them since the original HOMM when I beat someone with twice as many dragons as I had phoenix just because I could cast resurrection on my phoenix. I find the ability to cast advantageous spells on my creatures far outways the protection offered by spell immunity.

I like bone dragon better...their eyes can glow...so cool...they can even stand on their hindlegs and scratch with their hands...they are also unstoppable with vampiric touch.

Faerie dragons rock and hard!!!!!!!!! They might be weak against blackies but against other troops with no magic resistance I`d say it is the best unit in the game.

Crystal dragons for me always.. u just have to love the way they STAMP over the battle ground. And besides that they make a nice sound when they die.
And the hitpoints versus money ain't bad either for an AB dragin that is!@

It would be better whether you warn us what kind of heroes 3 or 4 it means.
Cause 4th is the worst of Hmm I answered Fairy that from 3rd. Its realy hard fight against them. Three fairy dragons may cast above 350 damage some rounds and sometimes this is very sad.

Damnit ppl,dragon golem aint on that list cuz they aint dragons actually,they're just cheap imitations of dragons made by some looser wizardboy!So they suck,no one would have voted for them any way!

I would pick the Fairy Dragon here. Notonly can they cast spells, they also have decent HP and magic mirror. Even in moderate numbers their prescence scares me or the opponent. I especailly hate fighting fairy dragons because I always lose a lot of troops even when I'm fighting a few. I always target them first, as I would for genies, vampires and water elementals.
Black Dragons are nice but are few. Bone dragons are deadly but can be easily targeted by spells.

Definitely Fairy Dragons. Spellcasting is a big part, especially confusion, if one only has a few dragons. Take a stack out for a turn, so nice...
And the magic mirror ability is icing on the cake. It's nice to be able to watch a thunderbird use a lightning strike on your Fairy, then watch as the stack gets taken down considerably by the magic reflection. It's like saying to your opponent the old "I'm rubber, you're glue" rhyme.

Fairy dragons all the way, but black dragon comes dangerously close. It's the only creature which I can confidently send into the fray of the enemy forces with reckless abandon. They almost never die.
But fairies can do ranged damage without any retaliation and that kicks. But they look extremely weird while casting spells...
And dragon golems aren't pathetic! True they need a good beefing with spells but their first strike is awesome. Throw in a fly spell (level 2 order, I think) and they become a force to reckon with.
