[H5 TOTE] Hero Conversion Script
Hello, i am modyfing H5/HOF Campaigns and i would like to edit C2M5(Inferno Final Map).
My Idea is:
After Dialog Scene with Tieru, Agrael is turned to Raelag with all Agrael xp and stats.
I currently removed level cap from earlier scenarios, but this script is difficult to me to write it.
I tried using script from Will of Asha Mission 1(Last Soul Standing), but i dont know what i do wrong.

This is nice! If you do this thing for all campaigns may be we can include it in MMH5.5 (if @Magno approves). Level cap is very annoying + MMH5.5 raises significantly campaign difficulty anyway.

Well, i use HOMM5 Patcher for Level Cap and XP curve.
Also Story wise, Agrael should be converted to Raelag like Ornella become Vampire.
i don't know if you like but i added Arcane Library to Isabel Mission 4 and Memory Mentor to Mission 5(Raplacing Sanctuaries).
So Players can adjust their builds.
I also enable mage guild for Mission 2, Mission 3, Mission 4 i raised mage guild to level 4(still mission require level 3 mage guild as objective).

I will do that tomorrow. I will check hero conversion from Dark Messiah or LotA(Harke campaign)

This is my script i made. I manage to spawn Raelag as enemy hero(replacing one of Eye of Magi) and map is working. After Dialog with Tieru game is crashing.

I edit campaign files, using notepad++
map.xdb and mapscript.lua are files i usually mod.

Ah ok then i was trying to learn something different. It is not about the scripts. I just want to put or remove objects in the map and replace the campaign map with my own but somehow it always gives me error "map is corrupted etc etc"

Hmmm are you placing units without using the editor? It sounds amazing but my request is sounds simple (i hope really simple too)
As you can see we can download campaigns maps from here
H5 campaigns scenarios (no dialog scenes) (10.3Mb - 30 maps)
But i don't understand one thing. How can we play on them? I mean, i am opening first map (isabel) and i am just putting 1 stack griffins near to her but when it comes to repack, maps from data/maps/scenario files is different than editor save.
If i put maps into the maps, i can see maps from the maps list but i cannot start the game (because there is only 1 slot for the play)
Do you know how can i succeed this?

I edit scenarios using h5+hof campaign bundle. I simply extract them, i use notepad ++ for editing map.xdb which contain all map info(towns, heroes, units placed etc).

Whoa.
I have been recently thinking about exactly the same: to edit the main campaign+hof for TOTE by adding memory mentors and maybe some other minor tweaks (such as actually importing Raelag and Isabel to HOF) to diversify gameplay a bit.
But after I failed to find a way to just normally open those scenarios in editor I gave up.
Do you plan on releasing your work?
