There are lots of players who play for the fun of the game and will play anyone anytime, to lump everyone into the same group as being points obsessed is completely wrong.  Im not saying that these players don't exist, but there are many of em like Rych and Lich who play for the love of the game.

I do STILL agree with Rych, though, and I'm sure there are many other members of ToH who feel the same.  I suppose this makes us all homosexuals or females, right?  You may want to reconsider your approach to stereotyping--it just doesn't make much sense.

There's a lot more to ToH than just points, by the way.  There are a lot of great people signed up.  Some of em don't play so well (myself included), some of them are average, and some are simply brilliant.  Some of the best games (note the word GAME) I've had have ended with me getting my army wiped off of the map like it never even existed.  They were losses I enjoyed every bit as much as any win I've gotten simply because I had the opportunity to meet someone new and enjoy their company for a while.  I've made some good friends here.

There's also diversity.  Ves runs a pretty damned good tourney and it's filled with different approaches to the game.  Clans, divisions, KoR, the list goes on but I don't need to recite it because you know it quite well.

Oh, and GAMES!!!!  (There's that word again.)  People in ToH generally finish their games.  I can't remember if it was Lady_Snake_Hair or Bright_Blade who turned me on to ToH, but I'm thankful that they did.  I was about to give up the whole online Heroes bit because it was hard to get a non-ToH game and actually finish it before your opponent(s) decided they didn't like the way things were going and just quit.

Cheating??  Sure, it still exists in ToH.  But Deth and the rest of the HC are doing a hell of a job containing it, IMO.
I have no doubts that 'normal' zone games see much more cheating than ToH games do.  Most of the people are here because they love the GAME and want to play it with people who can be relied upon to play fairly and honorably.

Points are nice, I agree.  But they are NOT the only reason many of us are here.  Take mine today--I'll still be here tomorrow.  I'll still be playing with the same people I've come to appreciate so much.

It's actually sad that you feel the way you do.  You are undeniably a great player and many of us 'lesser' players could learn a great deal from you given the chance.  

Have you ever considered that you could be one of the main influences on the next TOP player in ToH?  I don't know about you, but I'd feel great knowing I trained/taught a top player.  

I know I'll never rise above the rank of captain in ToH.  I know I'll probably never teach someone some tactics that will help them make it to the top.  But guess what--I'm gonna have a hell of a good time playing anyway.
