dont mess around with 3d
I think there are to many 3d games today or maybe i should say there are only 3d games today. I realy like heroes 3, its a simple game that runs on almost any computer, and it has random maps wich is why im still playing it. heroes 4 was also good but without random maps it has run dry. there are maps to download ofcourse but that means that there is a certan way to play it and i like to play it my own way. I dont play many computer games nowadays cause they are all action 3d games. 3d is god for action games i guess but why should a strategy game have 3d ? Maybe its because its easier to make i dont know. As for improvments for heroes 5 i would like to see moore of everything that was in the previous heroes.

heroes 4 is a 3d strategy game like empire earth.
When you said 3d maybe you meant 3d shooting games like doom 3, flight simulator and so on

No, viking. H4 is not 3D. It uses prerendered images instead of 3D models and an isometric view of a flat area instead of a 3D environment.

Heroes 5 is going to be 3d, at least in the battle segments. But it has nothing to do with gameplay...

from what i read heroes 5 is NOT going to be real time, but will remain turn-based.they may however incorporate simultaneous turns for the early part of the game, according to the post from that ubisoft guy (fabrice or something)

I wonder how on earth will they manage it? I mean to get the turns right after that?? Will be looking forward to that indeed!
Back OT:
I agree with Zoodiac, I like warcraft, the early ones more then the recent..
Even like Homm 2
They are plain, straight (hehe) & simple..

it would be quite simple ,i think.it could work similar to the age of wonders game where is simultaneous turns, and each player must click when their turn has finished.when both players finish turn 1,turn 2 begins and so on.would be simple enough to allow players to do this for say 14 turns or whatever, then continue as regular turn-based.
