HoMM5 Creature Stats seem a little weird
I've been having a look at the creature stats, and it seems that the way creatures are spaced out is different to HoMM3. The general trend seems to be that there are more good and bad units, and less medium ones. To put it another way, a town has a number of troops worse than creatures of the same level in HoMM3 in the lower levels, but in the higher levels the (HoMM5) towns have troops that are better than the average HoMM3 unit for that level.
Not having tried it out I guess I'm fine with it - adds a little more 'flavour'. Certainly too does the fact that creature stats are over a much greater range for any level. This should make things much more interesting and add to the uniqueness of each town.
I can't help thinking that it will make a difference to the game, but I can't think what. It seems that you would progress slowly at first, but at greater speed when you reach about level 5. Come to think of it, this doesn't seem too good, since I am often annoyed in HoMM3 about having to wait around my castle until I've got powerful enough troops to risk exploring the map a lot. Oh well. I wonder what else it might mean (or possibly nothing at all)?

most of the units except the level 6s and 5s are fairly weaker than in h3, with level 4 units being on par. The 7th are substantially weaker which is great, cause they were overused in h3.

Yes, HP is a lot lower (although attack and defense, and damage too I think, make up for that).

Im doing a [[[[[[top secret project. Censored info]]]]]] And not one lvl 7 is 2/3 as good as lvl any lvl 6 (one weeks worth). The inferno have many errors, including:
*They are supposed to be the strongest attack wise, but they aren't.
*They are supposed to have the lowest average defense but so far (I havent done academy/nature yet) they have the highest
*The imp is stronger than the demon!

I think they should go back to the HOMM III stat system. Like many other things in it, that is a good feature of the game. The 30 point system has a wide range that allows diversity, and that adds interest and color to the game. Also, despite the fact that all the stats have been reduced proportionaly, creature leve less now. And I Also think that it is wrong for 5th level creatures (like the preast, for example) to have stats lower or around 10. The old HOMM III system had proved it self over and over again, and stood the test of time. It has something very important: BALANCE, and that is what we need. Besides, if it ain't broke', why try to fix it?

I don't think that units stats in H5 are weird , its are only have some differences from previous versions .
Now we can see a bright division between low level units ( 1-3 ) and high level ( 4-7 ) , the 7th level isn't overpowered in H5 as it was in H1-3( 4th lvl in H4 ) and I like this feature .
The only thing I can found weird is cost of some units . Especialy I think that devils shouldn't be so expensive , they aren't as good to cost more than 4k gold , IMHO .
