Now that all parts are taken, its time to move on to the next phrase of this jolly little activity...
Time to reveal the Theme~
so the Race/Theme/Faction will be....
Vanara
The Monkey People!
Would theme after a race of Monkey-man. While not popular in the Western Mythlogy (nor D&D), the moneky people have a strong standing in the eastern Myth. And it is chosen very much for the challenge, than popularity or matching with common HoMM lore (but matching it is part of the challenge)

(well, the last one is not really mytho, nor are apes monkey, but still give some ideas)
I think a Jungle type of theme, with strong influces of Asian (India, Thailand, Chinese) culture would be a good platform to jump from, althought you are free to do your own takes.
So start concepting, and brainstorming, and put it up. And keep in mind the earlier poster will tend to get a advantage in swaying to the final shape of the faction. And all are free to change/modify/resubmit their ideas in later time as well. Of couse part of the exercise and the fun is to work with other (but you still keep the final say on your part)

Yes, you can post anytime.
Backstory on why Monkey Faction. Well, mainly need something challenging, that is not common to do. Thus will rule out the "usual suspect" (orc, naga, hobbit, etc). However, still need something that still have a a rich background, and room to expand on.. thus prompt me to think toward the direction of Eastern Mytho.... and figure Moneky people might be a good choice for something like this.
Granted its one that is unlikly to make it in the HoMM universe, but hey, goal is more for fun fourm activity, than submit to the dev.
Actually, if I can trace my thought path... it go something like:
Mushroom People > Tiger People (but Rakshasa is already use) > make me think about Moneky People > Toad people > Back to Monkey People.

i went to thailand a few years ago (it was a great trip!), there i saw a guy with a marionette shaped like a monkey. it looked really cool!
maybe the racial should be something about puppetry?... i don't know.
the motto i think should be
"if you can't change something, go around it"

my advice baklava, help others with ideas for creatures, then write the lore. it saves alot of headaches!
personally, for monkey people, i was thinking about relatively poor people, but who are honest, hardworking and dutiful.

No no.... should not help ... atleast not at this phrase. People are suppose to come up with their own original idea for their parts (with minor influence from other). Thus that is part of the creative challenge. (don't need one person shaping the whole faction... afterall, there are already lots threads like that)
It will be on the next phrase, when most part are written and filled, that people can start modify, changing, evoloving, and collabrating their ideas with one and another.
