Results of the Weekly Faction Contest
The Altar of Wishes: Weekly Faction Contest is over. Now we just need to summarize the results.
It has been great. The contest showed me the creativity of many members of HC, revealed some great ideas (that some of them can actually fit in to HOMM).
I'm sure many members have been inspired by the entries and the wonderful ideas of the competitors. Besides, we have achieved another goal; the contest helped to revive Altar of Wishes forum, and now it's much more active than it's used to be.

The first round's race was Centaurs.
The winner was actionjack. His entry is here, on the 3rd post.
The second round's race was Trolls.
It was very close, and we decided to choose two winners: Crepus and Actionjack. Their entries are here, on the 9th post and here, on the 9th post as well.
Before the third round began, we had been asked to do Werewolves' round. So we did.
The winner was Lesij. His entry is here, on the 16th post.
The fourth round was the most active round. It was a far-east round, and we had a huge amount of entries.
However, we had to pick only one. It was a a difficult, but we chose Evil_Warrior's entry (here, on the 16th post).
The fifth round was about Pirates.
It was a very hard round, but actionjack stood out and won it. His entry is here, on the 15th post.
The sixth round was H3 Dugeon round.
Crepus came back on the end of the round and won the round. His entry is here, on the 5th post.
The final round was about Nagas.
On the last day, Daystar sent an excellent entry and won the round.
His entry is here, on the 6th post.

The results of the contest.
After calculating the scores and adding the scores of the final round, we have the full results of the contest. I'll start from the third place, but only the first place gets our big prize; the Weekly Faction Contest Cup. All the others won QP's for winning specific rounds.
The winner of the contest will get the Weekly Faction Contest Cup:
On the third place: Alcibiades
Alcibiades participated on the first and the final round. He won the 2nd place in both of them. He had original and creative ideas, and he accompanied the contest with his useful comments for different entries.
Second place: Daystar
Daystar won the most important round, the final. He also compete in the 4th and the 5th round, and impressed all of us with his graphical works. Well done, Daystar.
On the:
Actionjack!
Actionjack is the winner of the entire contest. He won 3 rounds. He had an amazing and creative ideas, that inspired many people. He wins the Weekly Faction Contest Cup. Great job, actionjack.
(If you wonder, the photo that says "First Place" shows the bottom of the cup)

Well, I'm thinking Dragon faction and Conflux, at least. Don't know after that.

Dragon faction would be interesting. but only if some of the creatures are sort of "mis-aligned" as in slaves and such . would be Nigh impossible to make a total dragon faction properly.

I would also like an dragon faction, like the dragonknights and conflux would be intresting too (with life, dark and light elementals).

@Actionjack: I'm glad you like the cup.
And I have no idea of the while powder got there.
And another thing, just as a thing to think about:
We have some amazing entries here. Especially every round's winner's entry. Maybe we can send them to Nival, as an early suggestion for HOMM6. They might use some creatures' abilities, but I think that the largest effect will be that we show them we want new creative races for HOMM6. Tell me your opinion. If everyone agrees, maybe I'll make a HTML book, like what Vokial made, many months ago.
Who I need to agree to send his faction: Actionjack, Crepus, Lesij, Evil_Warrior and Daystar.

PLEASE send them the werewolf one, but not quite yet, there are things left to do. A lot of filing, giving things names.

If Lesij agrees, I will send them his Werewolves faction. I prefer to do it at once, not to send separate factions. So I need each winner's agreement before I send it. If one doesn't agree and all the others do agree, we can exclude his faction and send it.

I don't think they have time for that...More than half of the thread isn't even a factions proposal, but compliments or just casual chit-chat.

I started working on the virtual book. I might take hours for me to finish it, but I'll do it.
The virtual book will be downloadable. When it's complete I'll upload it and put the link here.
There's going to be a menu on the side where you chose which faction to look at.
As you can see, I finished putting on HTML only the three first factions.
Ofcourse, all that is not going to be sent untill we get the agreement of all the winners.

It's not my original plan but I'm flexiable. If you really want it I can include 2nd places, but I prefer only first, becuase we want to send them only the best. Meanwhile it remains like it is, but I can change it if it's really important for you.
