Seti@home
SETI@Home (Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence) is a project which uses your computer when you are not.
When it was originally designed, they underestimated participation, and now there is more work ready to do than able to be done. So you can join other groups to give you computer to do.
I reccomend using regular SETI@Home as well as Predictor@Home
