No offense Balcough but your last statement made absolutely NO sense? What makes H3 any more of a random map game than H4?
Doesnt matter if its Heroes 9 , it could still have a random map generator. Simple things like, opponents location unknown, all arifacts strengths and location unknown, paths to get to opponent unknown. etc etc.
I really didnt understand your statement at all.

let me repeat myself once again Jinxer, as i see that's the only way you might understand something we're saying ... if you can't play more than 2 maps out of 79 (not all good, but it doesn't matter), how do you think random will help you ?
there's unknown lands and chameleon for you (pretty good pseudo-random..., lands you don't know the opponent's whereabouts for certain)
age of wonders has random map ...  try it ! we won't regret !!!, errr you won't i mean

so when you make the random map your going to have boots of travel , robe , halber , and all the best artys placed randomly everywhere. On a random meduim get habler buy immo's and go rush. can have 6 trees just placed bye your opponent or learning stones or 4 travens

It is quite simple.
In h3 alot of things are important (like creatures)
In h4, all you need is - immortality (tc_fear style)
Too many things you can just skip in h4, and in a random map there would be plenty of those "things"...
---> ends up being a week1-2 rush map no matter what
Stuff just doesn't have equal value in h4, so much can be skipped if you know what you're doing...
That is why maps must be 'made', to make sure it is of interest to visit places around the map, and not just rush the snow out of your opponent.

HMMM ONCE again Valky has shown he just spouts off and has NO clue what he is talking about. As you can see I have played 14 different maps, not just 2. Granted most of them were not worthy of a 2nd attempt.

Valky you keep proving every day how big of an A$$hole you are. You are just like Andi and Motor. You think you are the greatest. You think all maps should be only your way, and you try and tear down other people for wanting things to be more of a challenge. Andi and Motor, only wanted the map GiantWar to be allowed, because they had the map figured out and knew how to rush a week 5 map week 2. They thought they were bad A$$ heroes 3 players because they could do like TC_Fear and study the hell outta a map and then accell on it. Woopie! And after they chased alot of the players away they both fled off to another game anyways lol.
You are obviously the same way. But the same fate will happen to you that happened to Andi and Motor. They insisted on keeping things the same old boring maps and ways and Heroes 3 died off alot! So they were the best players of a dying tournament. Good for them. The ONLY thing that keeps Heroes 3 alive at the moment is the RMG. Without that there would be no Heroes3. And I dont mean the handful of veterans that are regulars on the zone. 20 regular veterans playing giantwar and Hourglass doesnt mean Heroes 3 is alive lol.
At this point I dont even care if I ever play another heroes 4 game or not. So you might just be rid of Jinxer and you can rule a lame duck game.
I like many many aspects of Heroes 4, I think it has far superior aspects then H3, but it also has all worse features that just kill the game. Like Barb Rushes and Immortalities etc. Arangar claims that maps must be made to balance this. So let me ask you.... Blue Camel is our best map maker at moment he spent tons of time making UTB and the map is huge. BUT you only need to visit 9% of the map to end up with a Level 17 Hero week 2 day 7. Sounds to me that there is just as much skipping going on.
Now let me ask... Would TC_Fear beable to show up at your door week 2 day 7 with a level 17 hero on a Large map that he had NO clue where you were? He might be running around map for 4 weeks with a level 20 hero but couldnt guarentee to find you week 2 day 7.
Anyways doesnt matter, you guys can have the game. I am burnt out at moment. Every game is exactly the same.

yes but, once he found you, he'd kill you even if you had enough to killl him the first time, he'd just hit and run you and he'd have no losses since he just retreats his barb, while you lose tons of creatures. then he's got creatures of his own to hire at home if he needs em.

Csarmi -- I want you to play TC_Fear on UTB and if you beat him, then I will kiss your feet, but UNTIL you have been in the same situtaion you should quit sounding like Valky and not speak of things you know nothing about.
And my mind doesnt run in circles I just see the BIGGER picture is all. When a game of this HUGE magnitude of Heroes 4 is reduced to the same patternized maps and Barb/Immortality rush every single game, then it ruins the game. The game has so much potential for depth and options but just as in Heroes 3, people get to comfortable with that 1 winning strategy and the same patternized maps that they refuse to see past that.
I dont care if I win or lose, I just want to enjoy the game. But when every game on those 79 maps are exactly the same...it gets to stagnant.
When I first heard that 3do was gonna take Heroes back off the feild I was upset, but now I see that it is a perfect solution. More creatures there are, the more diversity there is in the game, not just Barb and 20 immortality and go.
But as I said in the previous post, you guys will still continue to flame my opinions and call me weak etc, but I dont care. If you guys enjoy the same old stuff day in and day out, and honestly think it will last....then so be it, enjoy.
One good thing is that, this way I save myself 60$ per month hehe

the problem is, even if you "stop the barb rush" when the barb attacks you, all you're doing is forcing him to retreat. in doing that you've no doubt lost a good deal of troops, while he'll still have tons of troops (maybe not bought yet, but he can buy them) so even if you stop the rush the first time, you're in a hole, and he has lost nothing.

If your tired of H4 fine, please feel free to do whatever u like. I wish you would stop preaching that it is dead in here tho.
Find another game, find a sport do whatever. but you are not helping at all with your preaching in here. Legolas is the only one more annoying (and the h3 crew)
I would love to play with you. and I respect your view. but.... There is some sort of random map generator. I remember some posting long ago by Jex Jiels. I really think with h4 its gonna be questionable. but research It and Ill be the first to try it.
But please, you were at least an h4 fan. now u sound worse than most the h3 bashers. If you cant say anything good.....go post in the h3 forum

Naa Zud, most of my recent posts are a direct result of Valky's bashing flaming. I starting this all with a simple suggestion to boost activity and spice things up. And all I got was Jinxer you suck blah blah blah. So I have been defending my opinions the last few posts. I have NOT been preaching. If I was preaching then your last post was preaching to me ZUD
I do like Heroes 4. I enjoy playing it. But just get sick of some people narrow minded view and outlook on the game. I am sure I will come back and play Heroes 4 soon, maybe a small break will help. But regardless, my OPINION that RMG would be kewl is still my OPINION. Not a preach.
I will be back soon prolly to let you continue your Jinxer beating streak Zud dont worry.
