Purpose of this forum
Heroes Community is now allied with MapHaven - an automated map archive with searcheable database. MapHaven took on its legacy from Astral Wizard, which recently closed down. Astral Wizard was up and running before I've started my fist HOMM site in 1997.
Anyway, check out MapHaven for yourself, it's in the membersites area on top of most pages. You can use the forum link on MapHaven to come back to HC.
This forum is for discussion relating to making maps and campaigns for any of the HOMM games. It is also for feedback and discussion for the MapHaven website.
DragonSister is the webmaster of MapHaven. Welcome!

Welcome one, welcome all - I hope to get to know many of you in the weeks, months, and years to come!
I will pay close attention to any suggestions people have regarding possibilities and improvements for MapHaven - I don't promise to implement every one, and I don't promise to be quick about anything, but I do promise to listen! :-)
As for mapmaking - I'd love to hear what people have to say about it; I've not had time to do much with HOMM4 myself, but I have a possible map in the pipeline ... (Anyone know anything about Astrology?)
I may be able to help with questions about gameplay and suchlike.

We used to have a mapmaking section on HC if my memory serves me well. Anyone remember what it was called?

See, the Library didn't have that mapmaking part back then. The two sections were merged together, leaving only the Library. I'm trying to remember the other one's name.
