Poll Question: MIGHT OR MAGIC? (poll)
Now, I saw the "might or magic" thread, and I thought it'd be easier to tally if I made a poll. So, I made this! Which do you like?

I have found, that a grand mixture can be more powerful than any extremist.
I will not list reasons, for understanding the holisticness is but a bite from the fruit of knowledge you must bite for yourselves. And let it seeth through your mind and viens.
(altho, I'm sure someone has time to do statistical factors and such..)
A well defended, well attacking army, led by a hero with many Expert level spells, will surely surpass more victories than a puny mage army, or a brute force of hammer heads.

I agree with you, a mixture of both can prove leathal but if I had to choose I would say magic due to it's power. And because it looks good.

Bull****, magic can't do anything against brutal force, specially when that brutal force is helped by some good mass spells.

this makes no sense.. so your saying brute strenth is stronger then magic because you can use (expert) spells on them?
where is the logic behind that?

If you use on that brutal force some level one or level two spells and if you are expert in some magic skills that's more than enough to beat anything. That's the logic dude.

I think that Magic got a lot better in H4, since B4 you needed creatures. Now you don't!

The thing is that in any movie, book or game related to might&magic, always the magic wins against brute force...and if it is dark, black or bad magic (like a necro) nobody stands a chance... related to Homm, a mixture is the perfect way, but not only heroes with magic... i like using specialized units... those with magic are usually weak and must be kept safe, and the brutal units are enduring, but they usually don't get to the fight until late, as most of them do not have ranged attacks...

in theory:
same armies the magic hero will look something like
8 8 20 14 and the might one 25 8 6 7 / 8 25 6 7
well everybody knows the attack defense penalty ratio so i guess the magic hero's naga's (with 30 damage)will perform a mere 19-20 or less on mephala's unicorns but hack's naga's
will devastate everything in their path with +50 damage on every 1-6 level unit .i guess it's still necesary for a might hero to get xp earth and water(slow, cure) air it's good too ,but two out of three are ok .anyway i guess the damafe gap is too wide to be compensated by 2k difference by an implozion especially on xl

A better example for Hack would be his beths - the almighty, all-smashing brutal force
I'd choose might, preferrably with some exp. lvl 1-2 spells like haste, slow, shield, bless, damn even stoneskin may be good when expert (also prayer is great, but it's lvl 4). These will rock in most cases. But a properly developed spellcaster is also very dangerous... simply he needs more skill, more money and all to be victorious. imho.
