companies that go bankrupt, in most cases have to do with things apart sales.. stockmarket and weird chit we prolly dont understand..
.. besides, even if h4 sold ok, quality dont always match its sales..H4 sold for single player anyway, which is non-existant. Once you get pass the stage of knowing basics of game, no reason to play it SP.
as for real revelation of game, MP.. no words for you, goodbye

As if anyone cares or not. But without a Random map generator, I find myself uninterested in H4 lately. I havent played in 2 weeks, and sad part is I dont really miss it. And I am sure you all havent missed me
And since it sounds like H5 wouldn't be coming any time soon if at all, this will more than likely begin the down fall of the H4 Multiplayer Community.
Maybe its time TOH finds a different game with similar ideas and turnbased structure???
Just an idea.

Naa if I wanted a real time game I could play Warcraft3 etc. If I switched to a different game, it would have to be similar to Heroes structure and turn based.
I know Ves has mentioned a few times possibly finding a different game for TOH to support, so if Ubisoft is gonna be slackers and take forever to make H5 if at all, I would think it may be in best interest to start finding a good replacement game. just some ideas.

Lol
where did u come from with that oppinion, jinx?
Age of wonders is Turn based strategy; it has heroes development, spell system, tactic combat, town building, it's closest thing to heroes series i know right now.
i beleave it's originating from master of magic if somebody still remember that great TBS made in early 90th just couple years later then kingsbounty :-)

I think the only reason that H4 sold so well is that all of the other Heroes games had been very good. By the time people started saying it stunk (not anything personal to the H4 lovers here, I've never played the game, I just see a lot more people who don't like it than who do) anyone who wanted to buy it already would have bought it.

Like midnight says...AoW shadow magic. Has some similarity to heroes in its turn based structure and fantasy setting. Had some feedback from Kuma, he says its a great game, SapphireRavyn, FallenDragon, DocFritch, Destro, these are some of the zone regulars who have gotten this game in the last few days. (yes I know heroes4 is in gamespy, but we really are just a big family arent we? ).
Played several allied games now with Kirk, Fearflame, deathmage, Rethwen etc and they have all been very enjoyable and simultaneous turns slash gametime. Not sure if the demo is available, but check it out.
And I agree, after some promise, Warlords4 doesnt look "all that great"

There is no demo of AoW:SM, but I believe there is one for AoW:WT. There is a lot of content and improvements added to AoW:SM, but if you just want to see roughly how the game looks you can try it out.
I haven't tried the demo myself so I can't say how much it differs from the final game.

Maybe I am a retard, but how can you have simultaneous turns and turn based? That is like Black and white.
Please someone explain.
If both are playing at same time it is NOT turn based.

Simple - you can plan your moves while the opponent didn't finish his turn yet. (I didn't play the game, so don't flame me if I'm wrong)

Each player gets new money, mana, casting points and movement points for creatures etcetera for the turn simultaneously, and then get to use them. So moving your creatures and planning for next turn is simultaneous for all players.
When a player is done with a turn the player presses new turn button and then wait for the other players to do the same. Next turn starts when all are done with their turns.
If any player enters combat then all players are halted until that combat is resolved, and then the turn continues as before.

Always on the look for a new game
I've played all the strategy games, my favorite right now is C&C generals. But not good for any ToH -related thing. Warlords I have never liked, and AoW (the original first version I played a bit and returned). But this new AoW seems interesting to some people, and there is potential in the works of making a minitournament on the ToH servers for those who play AoW--possibly run by Ravyn or Chubby (Whats' your name, Fatbody?) - Full Metal Jacket.
But for now I'm waiting for the next big game, hopefully homm5 to revitalize the community.
Oh yes, and for AoW, is there an online gaming medium, like gamespy or the zone that runs it?
