AOW is on gamespy
* Shadow Magic is the latest expansion - comes with the rmg
* random generator works well - mainly open map style
* there is no good ladder (an opportunity to make one)
* turn based, can play classic turns (like heroes) or the quicker simultaneous turns
* can level up heroes, both might and magic (sound familiar?)
* wizard sits in your capitol and researches spells and skills for the heroes to use.
* many many town types
* no H3 style chaining so rare to get more than 2 battles per turn, usually only 1 (so fast turns)
* tactical combat is really good (this and the rmg was the clincher for me)

I cannot say more, please don't ask for details yet, all that I may say is the time remaining will be enough to have a full new season. I don't wanna confuse you, this post wasn't supposed to be allowed, but i couldn't help myself.

Well if Heroes 5 doesnt come till 2005 it will be to late.
It will need to be here by summer of 2004 at the very latest. And that includes all the "10 3do type extentions"
And I too find it humorous that Someone thinks H3 AI was perfect. AI in H3 was so dumb they always attacked your 6 single stacks of 1 pikeman before worrying about the 5 ArchAngels. If the AI was smart he would know he was gonna die and try and weaken you by taking out 1 ArchAngel etc, instead of going for the worthless fodder lol.

you made my day.. although i had no doubt it would come out.. and i dont much mind waiting till 2005 i mean thats only about a year and a bit away.. what i dont want is them saying it will be out in march 2004 then delaying it to june, then to sept. and delaying it repeatedly till 2005. (thats what they do with most games) i dont mind if they release late but properly.

I find myself agreeing with rychenRoller. What would it benefit Ubisoft to keep it a secret? You would think it would benefit them greater to give there future customers something to look forward to.
Seems silly to not say anything publically for 2 years then wammo bring out Heroes 5, by then all the Heroes fans would have moved on to another game etc.
Me thinks Teacher just trying to keep Heroes on life support

who said ubisoft wouldn't say anything until it's released? they just aren't saying anything now. i'm not sure how much stock to put into teacher's comment, but even so i have no doubt h5 will come. i dont buy that ubi would buy the franchise just to eliminate a potential competitor with warlords. I mean my god, warlords 4 just came out, and a h5 would come out no earlier than 2005 and ok, you could say that h5 might compete with a warlords 5, but that's groping a little. a fitting choice of words for anyone who thinks that

h5 coming or not, it will take at least 2 more years.
good opportunity to distract yourself with other stuff. aow: sm is definately a good option (esp. for you jinxer, I'm SURE it fits you like a glove. it would be stupid not to give it a shot)

Ladder for it already exists hmm interesting havent seen Rych,Bjorn,Haile, and Kuma maybe they playing on different names btw i posted long time ago about Age of wonders 2 Shadow Magic but people didnt hear my voise of truth ! I am playing in Shadow Magic for long time i also played since age of Wonders 1 realised, Air_Warlord teached me alot he is one of the best player now in Shadow Magic and he said me he tired to be in ToH cause of corruption and speculation people are not nice they hungry and want take from each other not play with fun. Btw he is another Air not that Air who was playing in ToH long time ago. But as i said god always show light to those who hear him if some people not accept what you think they start to swear on you run from them go to other people who will take you like a brother and will listen you.Those people with high morale and who wont break rules are few but they very strong they can stay againts thousand of evil people.

People doing bad things and not patient cause of they stupidity, Wise people are highly patient they not cry and have power to stand for the last blood, If you wanna be frienzy go go but you will knock of the wall and break your horns and feel pain after that. I wish you become wise and stop doing stupid things and act like an snows, be patient to those who you not understand if you think something not right give it a time maybe time will show you are wrong. But i know many of you corrupted by this world and work for evil so it will be hard to reject his wishes. But i tell you not this world makes rules but god himself never accept rules made by this world listen to your mind and to your heart.This theatre will break soon or sooner and i will help to do so no one can stop god will.I wont kill anyone but i also wont to do what evil wants, simple if you will not accept and reject to work for him he will faster go away as soon as he realise he has no power.

I've seen a PBEM ladder run at aowheaven, but never heard of a solid ladder like TOH, if u know of it, dont just say yeah i know of it, put the link... I've also posted this question at aowheaven and the veterans there said there was no functioning ladder apart from the crappy PBEM one.
