Question For My Gnome Illusionist
This question is for all the people involved in the Let's Have War thread:
I was role playing a Gnome Illusionist and I felt he was being seriously misunderstood. I don't want people thinking I'm trying to rock the boat in any way. I would like to play him again but you people have got to realize the difference between an illusion and the real thing. An illusion cannot harm you. Only the real thing can hurt you. If there is a firebolt coming at you and the illusionist makes it look much bigger, more like a huge fireball from the heavens it is still only a little firebolt in terms of damage but it might cause the victim to run away from it. The victim must believe what he/she is seeing for the illusion to work.
Here is another example.
If there is an illusion of a being made of fire standing in front of you then that's all it is. No heat will eminate from it unless the illusion gets help from a real fire expert. Do you guys see my point? I want to be an illusionist but if people start thinking I'm trying to be something I'm not then I'm not interested in playing. I need the role-player to understand even though their character should not.

Details Of The Gnome Illusionist
Ok here are all the details for my soon-to-be-revived character for the Let's Have War thread. As for the necromancer I once played, that poor sod should stay buried after what happened to him! LoL!
Gnome Illusionist
Name: Silver
Height: bout 3 feet
Special powers: can fit into small places
Abilities: smart enough to know when to run
Education: high degree of education in the wizard school of Illusion, also has many familiarities with theivery skills. note: familiarity is by no means proficiency. He cannot pick locks like a normal thief. He mostly is able to use his illusionary spells to help him look like he broke a difficult lock when in fact he only had to open the door using the knob.
Magical artifacts: magically enchanted, long silvery beard. The longer the beard, the greater the illusionary effect of his spells when cast. The shorter=the less. If completely cut off the spell enhancement will be utterly nullified permanently.
Personality disposition: who cares
Underground city jail in the deep-gnome metropolis called, "No Funny Business": Time Served
Ultimate underlying ever-present agenda: have a few laughs and do some exploring

I'd be glad to have you back Consis. We definately could use more players.
After 18 pages, the thread isn't very active. The plot has only become deeper and needs a refresher to get more people involved again. I know that I would like to at least end THIS stage of the war and move on to a time of peace between the two parties. So far I am thinking that after an intense battle in the Order Fort, we are both not doing that great. The Order Party has been badly injured and cannot drive the Chaos Party out of their fort. It has become a stand-off. I decide to offer a peace agreement. If I have to I will throw in that the Chaos Party gets the diamond back and we are to destroy the fire mage's body.
During this time, the parties will have interactions amongest each other. So far we haven't interacted peacefully at all between parties. The two parties will recover and gain new members. However, another issue will arrise and we are at war once again. Perhaps a few of us change sides to spice things up.

All right, I will discuss the appearance of Jecharvaas. Woock sacrificed all his current spam elementals and my spam grenande to summon him. The tall man is the new God of Spam. He was mentioned by Asmodean earlier in the thread. He controls Jechravaas. Lord Woock fainted because of the effort.

It doesn't matter what I sacrificed - it is beyond my power to summon anything better than spam elementals. The diamond is supposed to grant me the ability to summon spam golems, but dragons is a long way off.
Also, what you said about the spam dragon collided with the description of those creatures I posted earlier.

Deimos. You are not allowed to decide actions of other characters without their permission. Anything that you have seen in the past has been discussed outside of this thread. For example, any interaction between RSF and Shadowcaster was discussed thoroughly before hand. If you want to use another character to add plot, then discuss it here first. That is the purpose of the OOC thread. So far people haven't been using it enough and all discussions for planning things have been done through Instant Messenging.

Possible Ending:
Woock eats some of the spam.
Woock: "Hey, this stuff is pretty good. Why are we fighting over which one is better? They both taste good."
Vadskye tastes some of both kinds. He agrees that the only recognizable difference is that the new kind tastes kind of like real meat. Sort of. Diemos, of course, insists that the new spam is terrible. Silver and Romana, after sampling each one, decide that there is little difference between the two.
Vadskye: "Why not have peace?"
Diemos: "I will kill you all!"
Vadskye: "Whatever."
Vadskye seals Diemos under the earth.
Dingo: "But what about that spam that Wolfman ate at the beginning? He hated it!"
RSF: "Actually, I put lemons in that batch. It was bad even for me."
Vadskye: "Well then, it's settled! Peace reigns again!"
Negotiations took place and Woock took the throne back. The true King was back and peace reigned throughout the kingdom.
OOC: I did this based on sentiments for peace expressed in the OOC thread. Besides, there are too many deaths of late. Time to start anew and get more recruits for both sides.
Whatdya think?

Vadskye to me I think those are some good ideas for making the two parties closer to each other, however I don't think it's very realistic under the circumstances. Although I thought the part about Deimos was funny. That's pretty good.
I was thinking more along the lines of both parties fighting each other to the near death. At this point, the two sides realize that neither side will win at this point, so someone offers a peace agreement. I think that this would be a more likely outcome.
As a different thought, we COULD have everyone die.

All right, how about I get captured, searched, and the diamond is found on me. Woock uses it to summon a spam golem. It attacks me. I freeze it and try to escape. I am caught. Then SPAMMO the SPAM mage and High Priest of Woock decides to betray Order, is caught, and sacrificed. Then Woock summons Jechravaas.
