how long have u played?
I'm a plebe and i royally suck. Ive had heroesIII for about a month now... and in toh for about a week and already down to 975. i was wondering if im starting too early and just stick to the single player scenarios. how long did you guys play before you went toh?

not so bad
The time for having the game is not as important as having a person teach you some stuff rather quickly. 975 is not bad at all either, especially considering.
To progress very quickly at the game try playing a game with a veteran as a partner in an allied game and also review your games when you are done by making saves every day and naming them according to the day. These two things should help you learn a lot in a much shorter time then the average person playing this game.

hehe...to learn heroes it's not too hard but to learn all the tricks...well that's another story,...on "home made maps" of "TOH maps" everyone knows the tricks,...on random maps it's all about luck,...the tricks you should see them for your self as dEth said : by playing allied games...

I started out wif a 2-4 record also.
The trick wif rdm-maps is to buy troops soon and earn them back by using multiple 'main heroes' or 'generals' who attack everything around them guarding money/treasurechests and attack crypts, Imp caches and medusastones in week 2.

I played since March and got In Heroes Community in May. I have about a 4-2 record on-line in battles but not in tourtements. But I was going to enter in the tourny on Tymeria before it closed down. I was also planning on joining the Alliance I think there is good competition on the site if u ask me

Honestly though, I played All4One scenario before I started playing hotseat. And then after that, I found zone and started playing fun games. I signed up for TOH pretty quickly, but wasn't convinced that I could win a game. My first loss to ex-Colonel Twitch (where are you now?) at the start of season three didn't do much for my confidence and the three losses that followed suit felt like Rocky Balboa crapping the hell outta me, LOL.
I guess i should have spent a bit more time and played a bit more by myself, but I can do that anytime, and I KNOW for a fact that I can beat the computer. I'm up for a challenge.
So that makes it nearly...10 months online at this game. LOL may as well be 10 minutes considering how much of a newbie I still feel like.
