What kind of car do you guys drive?

Just wonderin'. I drive a '01 Hummer and occasionally my '98 Civic. My Hummer is Jet Black with some nice rims and some really cool spinners. What do you guys have?

Ford Taurus + rambling...

I don't own a car.  The car I drive is a dark green '97 Ford Taurus sedan belonging to my mom.  My dad gave it to her because he didn't find it comfortable to drive, and it had an unfortunate magnetic property that caused other cars to ram it in parking lots.  The Taurus was so attractive, in fact, that even the cement pillars in the parking garage of my dad's workplace were compelled to scrape their distinctive yellow paint off on it.  My dad got sick of having to explain all those dents and scrapes, none of which were his fault, of course, so he gave us the Taurus and purchased a less magnetic car.  But, alas, his newer Volvo proved to be just as dent-prone as the old one, and the trunk now requires duct tape to stay shut.  In the meantime, the Taurus has cleaned up its act and no longer collects body damage (aside from the butt-prints on the roof) -- what a coincidence!  So, it is now the "kid car," particularly for driving practice.  I use it, but I have to share it with one and soon to be both brothers.

Of course, if that whole mess hadn't happened, I would not be driving any car at all.  Shared car is better than no car.

I want a hybrid car.    Too bad that requires money...

I bought it from an old man in 1986. the poor thing just sat in the guys back yard collecting dust.

I don't really drive, but my mother has a 2000 Toyota Avalon CSX and my brother has a 2002 Toyota Corolla Conquest. In other words, we're Toyota loyalists to some sort.

My dream car would be a Rolls Royce, Bentley, Lexus or a Range Rover.

my car

I still drive my frist car.
Mitsubishi Mirage Asti V silver coupe '95, 1.3 12V MFI, 3 speed auto.
I think I've had it for about three years and done almost 50000K on it. This car became my project. Its sporty-looking, quite smooth to drive, very roomy in the back for a coupe, good mileage, cheap to maintain and has minimal amount of electronics - mostly immune to EM pulse, unlike EFI

After some months of owning it I've discovered that there is a huge amount of black gunk in the engine - someone hasn't changed the oil for 50-60K and its not synthetic oil... Few months ago I've had the engine completely taken apart and reconditioned, same for the carb and a good service for the gearbox. It practically became 2003 car. Engine sound became much nicer as well. I get 11km/litre in town and a crazy 17km/litre on motorway trips even with 3 passengers and luggage. We've also painted the underside of the car with protective paint to avoid rust.

I've also upgraded to MP3 player, split 2 way 6.5" in front and getting another pair of split 6.5"s for the back. To accompany that there is a set of leds and a couple of light tubes that react to bass frequencies and a pair of subsonic actuators - devices mounted to front seats that transform low frequencies into vibration, they give a new dimention of feeling the music. Thunderstorm soundtrack was just awesome with them. It's like having a subwoofer without damaging the ears. Then there are few more lights outisde and four speaker outputs. I have four long wires and four  external speakers in home-made cabinets that can be located 25 metres away from the car and give a nice surround sound area effect. All is done with no amplifiers. You don't really need an amp if the mounts and cabinets are well made.

Now to power all that for hours with no engine running there is a giant 4WD battery. Its ridiculous, but the battery mount in this coupe allowed this giant battery to fit in just perfectly. The car is now slightly tilted to one side however, as this thing is extra 30kg or so, but 5 hours of music - no problem.

Other mods I'm contemplating are strobes, lazer spirograph and an external water cannon

Any other car-mod obsessed people here?
