There's a thread on your favorite fruits? The hell?
Actually, I'm a bit of a fruitaholic and I tend to eat more than my fair share of servings of fruit per day. In fact, it's not an overly uncommon occurrence for me to rub deodorant on my ass due to having too much citrus passing through my system at one time. It can sometimes leave a nasty aftereffect on the butt, which I'm sure you were all extremely interested in hearing. So yes, I like me my fruit juices.
There aren't any known fruits that I dislike.
My favorites for raw consumption are kiwis, kumquats, dates, grapefruit, and cherries.
My favorites for juices are cranberry, grape, orange, apple, and mango.
My favorites for cooking various delicious treats or pies are lemon, strawberry, raspberry, rhubarb, and coconut.
My favorite in cocktails is peach.

I would also like to add that while I do not dislike pears, anybody that regards them as one of the most awesome fruits shall henceforth be identified as teh ghey. Seriously. Lamest fruit ever.
edit: Watermelons too. Seriously, they're nice and all, but what's the deal with getting all excited over a watermelon? Do you know why it's called a watermelon? Because it's like trying to eat a glass of water with a spoon or your teeth. You barely even need to wipe off around your mouth after eating one because there's not even enough stuff in it for it to become sticky later on. I can just leave the watermelon juice in my beard and it simply gives off a pleasant fragrance while I'm sleeping.

I like whatever's fresh and/or local.
Which means:
Clementines early spring.
Strawberries in late spring.
Other berries in early summer.
Cherries around June.
Peaches in late summer (such as they are - peaches here suck compared to those I had in Pennsylvania).
Watermelon all summer (Sorry blizz - but nothing beats a good watermelon. And nothing's worse than a bad one.)
Pears in September.
Apples in early fall (Mutsu variety is the best).
And navel oranges in the winter.
Bananas and grapefruit are pretty much in season all the time.
Nothing's worse than bad fruit.

Agreed. I just bought some bosc pears. They ripened a LOT faster than I thought they would. Rotted in two days.

IMO, Bosc pears are only good for poaching.
Bartlett or Anjou are the only decent ones for eating out of hand.
I have a pear tree in my yard, and they are thousands of times tastier than the ones bought in the store. Unfortunately, the bugs and worms eat 95% of them before I get a chance.

There is a european pear called Conference, which are great for eating fresh. Firm and they don't fall apart after two days either. But they lack some of the flavor of the sweeter pears.
However, I've just remembered I had omitted grapefruit (which I am eating now). I normally have two whole grapefruits every day, I'm so addicted. I don't care if its fresh or canned either.
A word of warning for Blizz though, an uncle of mine was addicted to fruit and had to have some sort of stomach surgery as the acid from the fruits damaged his stomach lining. So everything in moderation Blizzie boy. Oh and stop your pear racism you swine!! Pears are lovely fruits and pear juice is just gorgeous.
I will happily eat any fruit apart from kiwi and papaya .... ugh.
@Tsar .. are you talking about Persimmon/Sharon Fruit. Yes they are lovely.

Fresh/local fruits have low/no acidity, it's this modern transport system where they pick 'em while they're green and let them ripe on their way to destination is what causes fuits to gain acidity  .

All I said was that my uncle had to have stomach surgery. Not that he died writhing in agony Blizz Honestly a woman can't try to give you a piece of advice without you going all Diva. After his surgery he was fine *tuts*.
And Tsar I will have you know I am a very happy individual, neither am I 'cheap'. Maybe you should lay off the fruit for a while and try some fatty foods

Actually, I am glad you shared because now I know to associate certain symptoms with my orange juice intake, which would otherwise never occur to me

Fruit? Well, I like stonefruits (peaches, plums, apricots, cherries), strawberries, and pears. I also like Watermelon when it's hot.
