Spell ft creatures combos?
I once (long time ago, when animals still talked  ) read a topic somewhere that there would be creature ft spell bonusses.
For example a Gargoyle would have more effect from stoneskin then a gog for example.
Is there anyone who can confirm or deny this?

There was a time I read every tutorial/hint/stratGuide about homm I could get my hands on.
It was amongst one of them ...

Sounds exactly like what someone who feels like starting rumors about a game would say I wouldnt read to much into it,Ziltard. Especailly if you mean heroes II or III because those are old games it would be well established if it were the case. I can't speak for IV though because it runs bad on my comp. so i never purchased it.

Yes... All I can say is that Heroes IV doesn't have any Gogs... Ohh wait... they do, in the Demonology skill icon, it has a Gog head.

If you want to think this as a post just to make posts, please be my guest ...
But I think there are better ways to make conversation. Like stepping out of your door and do something in this big place called outside ...
And I wasn't talking about IV, can't run it properly on my PC.

As for H3 -> I dont know..
I dont think it works that way in Homm IV, altho it makes sense in a way..
Specially for some creatures which are the same aligment as the magic which is used.
But very often its a percentage (increases strength by 25% &so on),that way its alligment and creature independant
Maybe one for the 'Heroes V, altar of wishes'!?
Frankly: I dont know 4 sure
(I know your were talking about H3)

I played it a few times at my friends, but it didn't seem that addictive as II and III

Well, I think it's not a bad idea, but it surely has to be changed a bit.
For example, STONESKIN would have not MORE EFFECT, but it should be CAST on the gargoyles.
FIREBALL would have no effect on all fiery creatures like GOG, CEBRERUS, DEMON.
It's not as easy as it looks to do it, though, it could be scripted with UPGRADED (if it's possible, more scripts) WOG script editor.
How about that?
EDIT: Heroes V is being made by UbiSoft, Ziltard. Plenty info can be found in Altar of Wishes. There will be something for ya' no doubt

Look here on the startsite...there is a forum called "Heroes 5 altar of Wishes" (i´m sure u saw that..
There u can find lots of information about the programmers and what decisions have been made already..

But indeed, now you mention it, propably bullcrap since there is no other source anywhere to confirm it.
It would be nice though to have more things like with the elementals. X % of res against this magic order in trade of X-5% of vulnarability of that magic school...
Makes spellcasting even more tactic and it would make Protection from [insert magic school here] more usefull.
