We are not able to detect your Heroes 3 installed...
So, zone doesn't detect my installation of Heroes Complete. Anyone know what is wrong and how to fix it?

Go here: http://www.toheroes.com/patches.html and download the "setupreg.exe"-file. (down to the left)
Copy it in ur heroes folder and run it.
Reboot ur pc and then it should work..

The question is, what does that do? I'd rather not download and run anything that I don't even know what it does.

Well, a regsetup file will usually set up your registry setting. That means it will insert into your Hkey local machine a registry key with the likes of 3DO==>Hereoes3.
That means windows will finally be able to see heroes as installed

Thanks, it worked. Now all I have to do is to get someone to play a test game to see if my connection works or not

K I reinstalled heroes 3 ... when I try to launch from a zone room it takes me to opening movie instead of multi-player game setup  .. I have run regsetup .. I have reinstalled game and zone files . It works properly as IP{ game . Anyone able to help? :'(

Sounds like the zone canīt detect your opponentīs game, so the room "thinks" you are alone...
Or you try to play without cd.
If so, you only can join a game, but not host one.

Well, before I heard it's good to start the game in singleplayer and let the movie finish. Then try again.

my PC wont even recognize my own disc drive
i can tweak around with bootup start if I really have too, but its not usualy there.
