Wyverns and first aid

I realised how weak wyvern are. Anyday u ask me I will switch them into mighty moo moos lol..

There was a time when I thought a speciality in first aid is better than nothing, but now I realise the whole first-aid concept sucks.. firstly it the tent is so easily killed, secondly, the amount heald is limited by what health has been duducted in the top most stack only and thridly once i built up rion to lvl 18 i think, yet he could not restore full health to arch angel. and at another time healed only 28 health wif another hero wif expert that. ya all's experience?

i've never yet taken 1st aid skill lol, but always find tents handy, either as bait or to heal dragons, real handy early on when u cant cure.

I had first aid on my main once but I didnt have a choice but it saved my butt in that game.

Wyverns are not the most powerfullest 6th lv creatures in the game but I can master them to survive enough to get some needed resources.

Good combo is the Artillary gun the the first aid, usually creatures will go for the gun & try to destroy it.

Of course use your common sense .

critters generally always go for the tent 1st acu in my experence as this is easier to destroy.

but agree that both r useful sometimes as bait.

Sure it will but the usefulness of the tent is good, not great, because it's cheap for one & might as well take it.
As for the skill, it's not that great even tough I would take it over eagle eye etc if i had too.

First Aid Skill/Tent

First Aid is one of the most worthless secondary skills available.  About the only ones I find even more worthless are Eagle Eye and Mysticism.

Yes, the tent is nice to have, but as has been pointed out, it can't do much at times, and it goes down quickly.

Of course, sometimes you're forced into it when you only have one slot left, and you're offered "Basic Healing" and "Basic Mysticism" or something wonderful like that.

First Aid is only good at the very beginning of the game. At the beginning your two initial Wyverns (day one!) and the first aid specialty hero can do wonders. You have to protect the tent, but against the dumb AI it is not hard.

What you should keep in your mind is that you have to split your guys into stacks of one units. Your Wyverns are almost undestroyable with their 70 HP (you can cure 50/turn). Watch their HP. Always bring along fodders. Avoid guys that can do more than 70 damage per turn on you, though.

Where else do you get 70 HP regenerating guys day one?

First Aid Tent

From a strategical standpoint, the first aid tent is pivotal at a very specific time in the game. The specific time that it becomes crucial for a heroe to have would be any battles fought just after the initial purchase of your non-upgraded level 7 unit. When you are forced to hit the random monsters just after you purchase the initial Level 7 units that appear upon building the structure, this is a critical time for having the tent.

This occurrence isn't present on many maps but there are some at medium and small size that this does happen. Giant, behemoths, firebirds, hydras, red/green dragons, angels, and devils need the tent very badly when in the non-upgraded status. This is especially true for this time period considering that you'll more than likely only have 1 or 2.

"Is the Tent + First Aid Skill a valuable thing to have and use?"

I say that it is only valuable if your victory depended on a battle within this time period. If so then your Heroe will most likely only have about half of his/her skills attained(some expert, some basic). During this time the battles between human opponents is usually decided by the lv 7 creatures.(assuming the two opponents have played the map as memorizing experts usually do)

Does this happen often? I'd say no. In fact, I'd say most games are decided before the two players ever even meet. The scenario I have given most likely only applies to a pair of expert players going for a top title in a tournament of some kind.
