Stupid Question about h3
Alright, so I was sick and had to stay home, but I did not wanted to play online, so I started doing the campaign and going through the storyline. I had never done that before, or at least never done it until the end.
Now I am at the last quest,(I think) "Seeds of Discontent", and I think there is a major bug in the quest, whenever I go check an obelisk, I crash to desktop. Is it possible that this would be due to 3d0 forgetting to put the grail in quest ? or is this just some minor problem that can be fixed quite easily. Either way, please help me, I haven't gone this far for no reasons ? well ya, the storyline is interesting 
For technicalities, I have the version 1.4, no AB, no SoD, no complete, just the original HoMM3 with the latest patch.

I have the same thing happening to me, but it happens at a different time. Usually around the 1-month mark in a multi-player game. Drives me crazy.

Well thanks for reading, hopefully someone will know...
Cuz as it is now, its quite a hard thing for me to finish this game in time, I have 2 months to find a grail and it could be nearly anywhere on the map.
As for you Vad, I can't really help you, but maybe I would be able to do so if I would know a bit more.

I advise you sending a patch to your version. I think that may fix it.
Or at least, reinstall the game (no bug, but no saves and home-made maps  )

Actually, I have no home-made maps, I just reinstalled HoMM3 when I started doing the campaigns, earlier this week, as for saves... well I do have some, but I doubt its saves that crash the game... I could play perfectly fine up til that quest and I can play perfectly fine UNLESS I go on an obelisk. Now normally I wouldn't care and wouldn't get the grail(as I never do), but without it, I can't complete the quest

Go to Control Panel
Go to Add remove programs
Select remove Heroes
Insert Painliller CD
Install Painkiller
Kill everything
Install Heroes back
There you go!

Perhaps u want to hear a serious advice? 
Here it goes:
Some scenarios (campaign or stand alone ones) have the problem, that on start of the campaign, something "important" has been forgotten to be placed.
The only way to prevent that, is to reload the last finsihed scenario and start this next one again.
It wonīt help if you only click the button "restart scenario", coz the missing thing wonīt be replaced.
Hope this helps..

Thank tou Angelito... If by reloading the last finished scenario you mean loading the save I made when the previous level was completed, then I've already tried that 2 or 3 times. If you meant, to finish the previous scenario once again, well alright I'll try to do this

Yes, that is what i meant....play the previous scenario again and then it should (could) work.

Can u tell us, what version u have?
Perhaps it will work, if you have the latest patch.
For RoE, the latest version is 1.4
For AB, itīs 2.2
For SoD, itīs 3.2
If u have heroes complete, than u have version 4.0...this is the latest version.
If u donīt know how to figure out your version, here is the hint:
Look for your heroes.exe file. Normaly itīs located here: c:/programs/3DO/Heroes
Make a rightclick on it, click properties, than version.
If itīs a different version than the latest mentioned above, then go here: www.toheroes.com/patches.html
and look for the right patch.
Hope it works after that..
