This is mostly due to connecting errors.
Some routers for example "refresh" their connection after a specific amount of time (be it 3 or 4 or more hours, depends on their settings). If this happens during a game, you won't recognize immediately, but at the time when you either talk/write in game, or send data after end of turn.
One good advice to prevent this from happening is, play faster! Month 3 on Jebus XL is waaaayyy to long. Even with native style you should end this game before week 6.

We play fast (2 mins duration) and usually we do quick combats,
But in XL maps + U you might play more then 2-3 months,
We like to be very strong at the end of the game (35-35-35-35)
Is there any way to prevent my router to refresh or freeze my game.
And why sometimes we can play 3-4 months and sometimes not ?
Will installation of the legal disc will help ?
And last thing, where can i get the patch 4.01 for hereos III (except fileplanet - the file is damaged there ) ?

4.01 is a patch for MAC only.
Version 4.0 is no patch but an own version called "Heroes Complete", which includes all former main versions (RoE, AB, SoD) in 1 file.

I'm playing with Heroes Complete.
I also have the original CD of heroes III Complete.
So you say this must be a modem or router problem ?

Windows 7.
Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone tried h3 online using windows 7 and are there any special problems to consider.
I am going to upgrade my os to windows 7 so will be nice to know if there are any issues I might encounter and if there are any preventive measures to be taken.

hmmm is there no way that you can stop crashes after 2-3 months of playing game??
thats damn stupid... why do you have to be under pressure to rush or play quick
are u shure theres no way you can turn off refreshing connection or something

could you help me install it then pls... i have windows xp with sp2 and when i download gameranger and try to install it this error pops out
"there was no response after contacting the gameranger server"...
he cant update it and cant connect  ... pls help

i had the same problem with GameRanger during last few days. I've uninstalled GameRanger (keeping account settings), then installed it again. Took me 3 minutes. Now all is working again

I've just installed hamachi 1.0.1.5, but when I'm launching it, I can't log in. I have used hamachi before and even had Lan. But now it doesn't work. What can I do?
It goes like this:
''Connecting.. Resolving.. Mediation server has rejected your login request. '' What can I do?
