It's got to be like Diamond or gold golem, because you can't get them from any town, only those factories. If it's not that then it might be the Dragon Golem

Are you refering to any version of HOMM because then that could mean it's the Dragon Golem. If not than it has to be a gold or diamond golem.

But they are animated!That means they are kinda alive and almost dead but actually neither of them.

Like the "elemental" creature ?
Those creatures, which was animated is called elemntals in H4. However in Heroes 3 Golems were animated too, not mechanical. (It is annoying, when you can use "Death ripple" against Gargoyles and Golems, that don't make sence...)

Which unit lost its abillity to paralyze enemies in the change from HOMM2 to HOMM3, but at the same time gained a ranged ability?

Cyclops.
The change of attack from HOMM1 to HOMM2 was actually funny. In HOMM1, the cyclops attacked as if he had a red spotlight in his eye. This changed to a sharp little laserbeam in HOMM2.
