Don't worry about it. I didn't think you were actually taking it personally, and neither was I. Either way, I enjoyed it. You really do need to work on your rhythms big time, though.

Actually I don't have that much time to think about writing my freestyle. I just sit here then whatever comes to mind that's what's comming out! Probably if I take more time to do it, I can do the best ones!

Erm... kinda stuck after that one, LOL! That was a nice nice piece of rhyming Gimmickless. Seems like you pulled all of ya gimmicks out the hat didn't you?
I have to wonder whether or not you dance as well as you rhyme... Not often do I meet guys who can keep up with me in both rhyme and funk...

1. I'm just glad I get to write this down instead of take it off the top of my head. Takes me a good hour or so to put out each one. But yeah, I know I'm good. Can you believe this is the first rhyme competition thing I've ever been in?
2. I rhyme better than I dance, but I can still cause a scene (in a good way, of course).
3. Take all the time you need. I want only your best.

Impressive...
BTW, I never said I was a freestyler. I thought this was called a LYRICIST'S LOUNGE, not a Freestyle Forum. If you want to go that route, you'll win hands down b/c I've never done anything as I go along. "Crafting rhymes and keeping time" is my thing, as was Ozzy before me.
Your bag of tricks runs deep, Shae, but I'll come up with something to keep pace. It'll take an hour or so after I get off work, though.

I will win hands down on anything silly Gimmickless. LOL I been doing this since I was eleven years old. I used to be part of a group called the Stepsistaz and we used to dance at funk clubs all over town on Saturday and Sunday afternoons for the Underage parties. We were arguably the best funk dancers, male or female in Australia and we even performed at the Naughty By Nature concert back in '96 during the interludes to keep the crowd jumping. We had shows, freestylee competitions at clubs, Djaying displays, you name it. I got hip hop in my blood. Do you?

Far from having hip hop or funk in my blood, I was born and bred on classic radio-friendly rock. I "discovered" Parliment just last year, but I've always missed the G-Funk era on my MTV ever since "Regulate" stopped getting airplay. I've got black metal, prog rock, Vertical Horizon, and Snoop Dogg in my CD collection, and this rhyming thing is only a side bit that I took on as a challenge.
I'll say again, in freestyle you've got me beat without a challenge. I think I have something to offer as a "lyricist" for a while, though.
And guess what? We're number 9 on longest thread! Only fifty more posts to go. Anyone else here want to give tis a try? Surely if a metalhead like me can rhyme like this, someone else can do just as well!
