best feedback is to play it multi

look at it closer, and ask your self 'do i want to play it now, as it is'? ..was looking better last time you showed me but wasnt 'there' yet

also, dont forget you have to ask permission from that 3do employee guy that made the map

lol Insatiable, ofcourse the CD maps dont need map makers permission, however, I have yet to see any CD maps that are worthy of being posted no matter how much work they get done to them.

i have here a list of changes for first 2 maps



Eldorado v1.6

Changes

- added 1 forest glenn, 1 griffin's nest main town area
- added joiners for 2500gold (level 1 or level 3) of your choice
- added one trough main starting area
- removed one tree of knowledge, replaced by 2 piles of gold
- 2 treasure chestes replaced by 4 piles of gold
- added magic well
- added 1 mage chest to blue player's starting area
- added 1 altar of nobility each side

- added an 1 extra trough for red player (2nd town area)  
- added a level 3 dwell already flagged (2nd town area)
- level 5 mage guild disabled in 2nd town
- the dream teacher replaced with 1 learning stone next to 2nd town

- increased the monsters'  strength from the middle water

- added a gate in the lava area which doesn't allow carrying extra mana potions
- blacksmith and level 4-5 mage guild disabled in eldorado town

- the wandering radius of middle pyromancer set to 3

- stealth skill disabled



Circle of Life v2.0

Changes

- 3rd town linked to enemy's main town
- no level 5 mage guild for 3rd town
- fixed the "neverending switching garrisons' owner story"

- ring of greater negation replaced with 2 magic altars and 1 pandora (can give you randomly, book level 3 or book level 2 or
book level 1 + 2 mana potions + scroll of exorcism/dispel) . access to this area is granted only if the player is might aligned.

- replaced one tree of knowledge with a learning stone

- stables replaced with a level 4 dwelling (linked), the other stables removed
- level 3 dwelling (linked) added to each starting area
- replaced the lord level 8 from prison with a barbarian level 7 having expert nobility and advanced scouting skill
- added one more genie and one mage  shadow mage's army guarding the prison
- peasant from arena gathered his friends in order to be not tricked again by bandits. they are 100 now.
- purse quest changed -> 4000gold for returning the purse
- access to goldmine(guarded by monsters level 3) free
- the outside tavern replaced with a group of joining (linked) creatures

- added a gate right in front of the utopia entrance which decreases heroes attack skill


- life guards changes : paladin has now advanced order skill to be able to cast dispel, archer is assassin with cancelation and animate dead spells, general has now expert life skill with bind wound, mass bless and martyr spells.
- death guards changes: added 2 more devils(normal setting), increased defense on heroes (+15 to assassin, +30 to pryromancer)

- 1 sea monster(normal setting) added to guards from whirpools
- seamanship skill banned

- increased/tuned up the strength of the monsters guarding goodies

feel free to add suggestions untill the maps will be posted.
there will be 3 more maps coming up : heart of the winter, longest journey and death valley, but i prefer to discuss them separatelly , one at the time.

Circle for Life 2.0



I didnt see the much needed change of..


* Making the green guards that guard the breaking, to be controlled by your opponent.  That is a MUST.

* It still appears that you can steal Gold mine and Relic also??  


These 2 things were mentioned earlier yet I dont see either of these 2 changes made.  Maybe you forgot them?

i believe the goldmine-stealing has been fixed by changing the purse quest.since it no longer blows the bridge,is impossible to leave a sneaky guy on the island to retake mine,and therefore giving you 2 mines rather than the one you are meant to have.

i guess you didn't read carefully the changes, or you don't see their importance.

only for you , some extra explanations : extra tavern removed means 1 hero less --> less powerful army, 2nd guards have been increased and some important spells added which make the battle more difficult plus the life guards receive an extra +2 morale that is very important

about the relic, fixing the quest gate, and increasing the whirpool guards makes it almost impossible to "steal" the relic as you call it.
i tried o maintain the original map as much as i could, and with not so obvious adjustments change the gameplay alot, though.

nothing is fixed yet. we can talk about it. but read twice pls.

I did read very carefully,  

" but you attepted to fix a flat tire by putting air in the steering wheel! " You should put air in the flat tire first then polish the steerling wheel and windex the windows.


 All them changes you made are nice but why avoid the simple solution.  You can have all them changes you made in addition to making the green gaurds controlled by opponent.

I am not trying to offend at all here, but you started a post asking for suggestions and when both tenakha and myself suggest the controlled green guards thing you just ignore it and make whaty ever changes you want?!?! What is point in asking for others input if you arent gonna do it?  

Like I said I read your post thoroughly....and I understood every word. And just because you made it harder to steal relic doesnt mean its not possible.  TC_Fear can beat 400 hydras with 1 sprite.  

I like all the changes you suggested so far, if you make the 2 changes still needed I think Circle will have new life. Word of the day = Democracy

yes 100 hydras might be killed with 1 sprite but 1 hydra and 1 orc couldnt. so same thing with guards, if they are colorful its not that easy. still open though, the army controlled by player could be speculated, in a way that sometimes could be annoying, brb

Eldorado revived? I think those changes could work wonders teach! Hard to change your own map into something you might not have wanted it to be, but this sounds promising

Other than that, circle changes sound interesting. Although I don't know how they will affect gameplay yet.

Maybe Jinxer's suggestion is something to be considered.. but if guards are controlled by opponent they need to be adjusted (downwards).

All in all.. eldorado changes almost woke an old and weakened ranger

circle version 2.0?  wasn't that map created by sacred_warriors and youri?  as far as i know, neither of them have died, nor have they trasferred their interests in the map to the toh maps council.  perhaps the_teacher has already contacted them and asked permission to alter the map.  they probably wouldn't mind.  either way, the maps council should make sure before posting the revised version.

... just some friendly advice.
