Werewolves have silverteeth, thats why vampires are so afraid of them, so they have to use them to do their own bidding.
Next:

And where have you seen a werewolf with silver teeth? I know I've never seen one, in a movie or book.
A WEREWOLF : A werewolf is a man who can change form into a werewolf. But the power of change is not up to him/her they always change at a full moon wether they like it or not. When they are a wolf they are extremely deadly attacking any person they cross paths with. If you live by a forest (esp in England in the 1800's) and for some reason you always hear strange noises coming from the forest only on full moon nights, You may have a werewolf on your hands. The best advice is to keep a loaded fun with only 100% silver bullets in it. Silver bullets will kill werewolfs.

I would assume it has something to do with the fact that it hurts when something bites you.
Or maybe, as in Van Helsing, the only way for Dracula to be killed was by a werewolf. It never said in that movie that anything needed to be silver.
Wrong clues led to controversy, moving on...
