Wanna know something interesting? Dan Balan, the leader of O-zone used to be in a death metal band (called Imperialis), playing keyboards. I guess there's a metalist hiding deep down in every whimpy boyband member. Or is it the other way around? ...

Last time I checked this was a matter of preference. you might like classic music I might think it's crap. You like hard rock I like ambient music, that doesn't mean you're a coksucker and I'm the best coolest most sexyest guy in the world cause I listen to 'high quality' music.
if a person listens to crappy music that doesn't make him uneducated stupid etc...
Yes i totally agree when people say that the quality of music has declined, but that's a different story.
And what is it with people and defending romanian music? It's got its good and bad parts or parts that you like and parts that you terribly hate. And why on Earth would you judge a country after a song or a football player?

This song is gonna go big in North America...
I can see it now! I guarantee it!
As did The Macarena, Mambo #5, Who let the Dogs Out?, and The Bad Touch by The Bloodhound Gang...this song will be a big hit for a month and then will fade into the "One Hit Wonders" Hall of Fame. BUT not before being spoofed by Weird Al Yankovich and ruining the lives of every O-zone member.
As I had said in the Bolero Thread (that was consumed by the Wastelands), success of this nature breeds destruction! The members will make loads of money, appear on numerous talk-shows, perform at summer festivals, and become overnight Superstars...but when the money is all gone and their glory has faded, the O-zone members' lives will be as much in shambles as their careers...
I can see it now! I guarantee it!
P.S. My wife found a link where someone did the video to this song using Legos & stop-motion animation. When I find it, I will Post here for all to enjoy...it's really good!
P.S.S. Svarog, that moment of "enlightenment" you had at the end of page #1, was hilarious!!! You said "sphincter"!

Going around guaranteeing for stuff is risky business Leo.
O-Zone have already broken up and one of the band members got married. Yay! That should be the end of that.

BoogieMan,
I think you are underestimating the power of the cheezy-cathy song in North American culture. People throw away their hard-earned money, in order to get the albums with these songs on them, like if they were buying the cure to cancer.
So whether the band is still together or not, doesn't really matter. The members eventually get more "Royalty" money than they know what to do with, and that usually leads to them reuniting, going on Tour, and appearing on North American talk-shows that often discuss serious social problems like "My mother is having sex with my boyfriend, who is really a gay alien"!
Then the North American public is distracted by the next craze/fad and completely forgets about the "tune" they hated to love...leaving the band members in obscurity and desperate for more of that unreachable spotlight.
The final blow usually comes when their new Big Shot Agent tells them:
"Your 15 minutes are up!"

You guys are so slow
Such an old song and only three pages for this topic? I saw a french forum once (no, i don't have the link, they deleted the topic), it was about the same subject, and it was about 150 pages long. It's nice to know that many of those foreign folk could not make a difference between a latin language and sumerian
Anyway, lame song, lame lirics, lame poin of view for all of you who judge romania for it's singer and football players.
