Yes, but have you tried them? What are your impressions?
Are the files compatible with WoG 3.58?

Well, I haven't installed them (although i have them on my PC) but Darkloke said they work with 3.58. At least the first four which only change some graphics will work beautifully. There is a chance that the last one (Alternative game balance settings) in conjuction with certain combinations of wog options may cause troubles. But you should try it by yourself

Put them in folder Update. Then run H3wUpd.exe from the main Heroes 3 folder

I don't think even the WoG team members know (or care, for that matter) the answer yet. By the way, I don't expect 3.59 "in a matter of months"... a year is more likely!

A matter of months.....A year not that big a difference actually. In some long forgotten thread i read that they expected to be done in approx. a year, that was in August so i guess that means that there is under a year till the release, or atleast i hope so.

I think we probably said "at least a year". And also, 3.58f came out in October so we were still working exclusively on 3.58 corrections until that time.
Anyway, the situation right now is that new scripts are being worked on, bugs in old scripts are being fixed, and ideas are being discussed but Slava has mostly been busy and to my knowledge no hard-coded work has begun yet.
Everything always takes longer than one expects and that seems to apply double to software--3.58 took at least twice as long as we thought it would. I think in theory we're aiming for a faster release of 3.59 than 3.58 had but it could still take a year or more than a year. It all depends on so many completely unknown factors right now that we're really only guessing.

Well, well... Someone resurrected long dead thread... Actually i still have this mod. I can upload it if you needed it so much.
Here are it features (taken from readme):
1. Now you can hold weapon artifacts in both the right or left hands (exception: combination artifact parts - they must be held only in one slot, or else the game crashes).
2. Now the catapult with expert ballistics can shoot four times per round. The %-chance to hit has also been changed.
3. Changed the resource cost of the following buildings:
a). Mage Guild Level 1: now it costs 5 wood and ore, 1 piece of mercury, sulfur, crystal and gems and 1000 gold coins.
b). The gold cost of the other mage guilds was changed due to their level (i.e. Mage Guild Level 2 now costs 2000 gold coins; Level 3 - 3000 gold coins and so on).
c). Fort: now it costs 20 wood and ore and 10000 gold coins.
d). Citadel: now it costs 15 wood and ore and 7500 gold coins.
e). Town Hall: now it costs 4 wood and ore and 2000 gold coins.
f). City Hall: now it costs 6 wood and ore and 4000 gold coins.
g). Capitol: now it costs 8 wood and ore, 1 piece of mercury, sulfur, crystal and gems and 8000 gold coins.
h). Resource Silo: now it costs 5 wood and ore, 1 piece of mercury, sulfur, crystal and gems and 2500 gold coins.
4. Changed heroes' movement, so now they have more movement (still based on the speed of their creatures, of course).
5. Fully changed the heroes spell system (for more information see Spells_New.xls).
6. Changed health of the castle walls, so they now have different values.
7. Fully changed the probability of gaining skills and primary skills progression for almost all heroes classes (for more information see Heroes.xls). The class names were also changed, so don't be confused.
