Weekly library question____week 11/2__05

Ok...as the question for this week is already solved, and most of you which are intersted in this "game" wonīt wait that long, i have a 2nd question this week..

The famous hero Dorky Dumb III. travels from region to region in the Land of Erathia to look for a new adventure he can participate and for some amount of gold which he needs for building a new castle. After 2 month of riding, he comes to a region with many castles and in the centre of the town, there is an old tavern, and on a sign he can read:

Dear adventurer, you can win a reward of 3000 gold if u could find the best solution for the given problem:

Here in the tavern, you are able to buy all possible creatures which exist in the world of Heroes 3 (version 3.2). You will be allowed to use 5.555 gold (and all creatures ONLY cost gold, no other resources, weekly special offer..) to buy all the troops you want. Tomorrow at highnoon, all adventurers will meet on the battlefield, and the one whose army has the most hitpoints, will win the prize.
Rules:
1. You are allowed to buy unupgraded or upgraded creatures, but u wonīt have any money (nor a hillfort) to upgrade later on in a castle.
2. You have to use exactly 5.555 gold, not more, not less.
3. No artefacts are allowed.

Dorky Dumb III., as the name already tells us, is a very intelligent man and was sure only he could win the prize, coz he knows all creatures. Everytime when he meets some of them, they smile (or laugh?).
Is it because of his friendly face, or because of his pink pantyhose?.....who knows....

Do you know what he would chose to win this tournament?

This rule is intriguing. Do you mean that there are castles available?

Edit: if no use of any castle the best ratio gold/hp goes to the pikeman. 1 hp cost 6g gold but since we have to spend 5555 gold the maximum we can use is 5520 gold to buy 92 pikeman. The 35 gold remaining are spent on 1 pixie (25 gold) and one peasant (10 gold). That makes 924 hp in total.

If we can use any castle with any structure (even without gold) then it's best to buy 553 peasants and one pixie and transform them into squelettons with the squeletton transformer . That gives 554 * 6 = 3324 hp. I suppose the later is not allowed?

Stone Golems have better ratio. (5 gold per hp)

36 Stone Golems cost 5400 gold and have 1080 HP. Then Iīll buy a stone Gargoyle with 16 HP (130g) and a Pixie with 3 HP (25g) and the cost becomes 5,555 gold. Combined HP: 1099.

I canīt think of anything else now...

Oups, you are right . Guess I was too quick with that solution because I felt that there must be something more than just some maths. I have the feeling Angelito has some surprise in mind thus my question about the use of castles.

I am afraid respective amount of sharpshooters or master gremlins with some cover stack (to kill the fast pixie that can block shooters) slaughter your pikemans and golems... Edit: 50 lizards with their high defence wouldn't make too bad either. Sorry, but cannot test now. Edit2: A combined army of shooters/melee with one fast flier whould probably be the safest against whatever enemy has. lizardz/golems/fly combo or something.

What are you talking about? This is a HP contest, so defenses and shooting abilities wonīt matter.

The gargoyle makes you lose some hp/gold ratio. 2 pikeman, a sprite and a peasant cost also 155 gold but have more hp. So it makes 1104 hp with this combination.
