efreeti immune to death ripple?
i was playing a game the other day and i was going for an efreeti dwelling week 1 with portal of summoning and dungeon. i got a death ripple spell scroll and assumed that i could use it vs efreeti to help me take out the 6 guarding the fire lake. i was pissed when it said "this spell wolnt effect anyone", or whatever.
i looked in the immunites thread and didnt see anything about efreeti being immune to death ripple..
is this some sort of error in the game that i cant use death ripple vs efreeti or am i missing something?
my heroes version = homm3 complete.
anyone know whats up with this? peace,--ave

no man they are not imune(at least not to exp death ripple)
took only 10 minutes to test it though

all i can say is that it wouldnt let me cast death ripple...i was playing hotseat and my friend witnessed it too. i had the spell scroll death ripple and no earth magic at the time.. the message "this spell will effect on one!" appeared when i clicked it...so i guess must be a minor bug in the game that just doesnt happen every time, as you were able to death ripple efreeti. peace,--ave

i really think you were mistaken man!
I test it again, this time with both efreets and sultans, with 4 sets of heroes, no earth, basic advanced and expert.Spell power was 1. They all took the damage.
Maybe you didn't look well!
@second thought: maybe you had the pendant of life?(not sure if that protects all units from the battlefield against that spell)

did you try it with a death ripple scroll, Tigris? (strange if that would make difference though)
I think pendant of life protects your own units only.

Hmm... Assuming you started that fight week one with a dungeon might hero without having built a mage guild in your town, without a spellbook you won't be able to cast that dead ripple, spellcroll or not.

If a hero doesnīt have a spellbook, there wonīt appear the small spellbook on the right bottom (besides the wait-button), no matter if he has scrolls or not.

True, but by clicking the hero portrait you will still be able to access the spellbook, even though you don't have one 
If you choose death ripple there you will get a message telling you "<HERO NAME> recites the incantations but they seem to have no effect". I guess this is more or less what happened.

i was playing with malekith and i am positive that the death ripple wouldnt work...it was the only spell i had in my spell book so i could not have possibly clicked another one by mistake. this is not the first time this has happened to me either. next time i will post a screen shot if you want.

Considering Malekith starts off with the Bloodlust spell, there must be something rotten in Denmark.
Perhaps the map was configured so that no heroes start with spellbooks?

you are correct that i must have had blood lust, i probably didnt notice it because i was under the magic category for death ripple (not the category for all spells).
however i can guarantee you death ripple didnt work, i tried clicking in many times and it was the correct spell. i have had this happen numerous times too. next time it happens i will post a screen shot if you want...

Only a suggestion....donīt blame for the idea, but it happens to me as well...
Did u perhaps mix up "death riple" with "destroy undead"??
