Dragons in Western mythology usually being symbols for the Devil, wouldn't the entire concept of "dragon of light" be a paradox?
And Angels worshipping them?

Oh well, I guess this is why it's called fanatsy. :\

Actually the whole storyline is cheap; with this tale and those angels, I would not recommend this game to +7 year olds.

Damn it, it's those WoG'ers and their obsession with Dragons that's backfiring!

DOUBULE POST !!!!!

Edit: Those news are just speculations, I don't think it's all true. Fabrice said around 100 unique creatures. They say 40 ones. I think we should not rush into conclusions until E3 will take place and many things will be revealed. Then we will find out the news from ubisoft/nival itself.

What really concerns me is the storyline and another realm change. Storyline was one of the main thigns what makes me like Heroes. Demons invading the world... again... it's so banal... And I dislike dragon being over-uber-creatures and gods. Other nations and towns in Heroes series respected dragons, but they weren't idols or gods... And come on... a LIGHT dragon ? What next ? Bronze, green, blue, black, white, silver, gold, azure, rust, crystal, golem, faerie and etc... dragons ? We had enough of them in Homm3.

Indeed. But it's a valid point...

Previous HoMM games had good storylines? I must have been playing different games. Not that you can even make any conclusions based on that article.

After playing other games which include fantasy and rpg I admit, that Heroes didn't have quite an original and very good storyline (H3 Sod was the saddest case). But still a storyline was one of the strong aspects of the game.

If you want to discuss the merits of the Heroes 4 story-line then please do so in the Lands of Axeoth forum.

You are straying off topic in this topic, and I plan to remove the five posts above this one since they add nothing to the topic.

Please refrain from using arguments tied to another poster's persona.

Feel free to continue discuss what you want out of the H5 storyline if you want.

EDit: Thread cleaned up.

Storyline
- Dragons will play a major role, they will be found in religion and astrology as well as in tales and legends. Every race is connected to dragons, either in a direct or indirect way.
- The fanatic humans of the griffin empire worship the dragon of light (the idol of their religion) and hunt down heretics with their army of knights and powerful angels mercilessly.
- The "seventh dragon", a legendary wizard, banned the demons in a plane, but they will be back in Heroes V and still have a bone to pick with him.

Dragons...

Btw, anyone but me who sees something weird in the fact that "the fanatic humans of the griffin empire worship the dragon of light"?

Oh well. Like my sig says, I'm an eternal optimist, so I still believe that the game will be swell. Innocent till proven otherwise...
