yeah man. like today for instance, i went back to bed, and dreamt more, it was awesome... but then i wake up, and start helping my sis make lasagna, and we're gonna have a nice birthday dinner for my mom, so, no, i guess today doesn't count as a sad day, lol.
i do get those sometimes, tho. but usually, life is better in different ways, less extravagant, but still nice.

I feel awesome after sleeping. I used to have dreams about fighting my evil self. The first one I had I lost terribly. The second one I was holding ground but losing foot and had to repeat, "wake up, wake up" so I didn't have to fight... and then I WAS my evil self getting killed by a chainsaw to the gut.

As for me I had a dream that I was a school girl making out with another girl in a tree house outside the school, (and also other things that I don't want to go into, but it felt right) funny since before it I was worried about missing a lesson, also this being summer I sweat like a bloody animal all night, which of course had an impact on my dream. (all this happened after a lengthy time in the school which felt silent hill esque) Now after my dwarf incident I feel like what I want is to be pregnant, which is an odd concept since I hate kids.
Now, in the recent month I had many such dreams, and the summer heat is not helping. (sweating while I sleep turns me on for some reason)

yeah, we've all got our bad sides, to be sure. it's funny, only now(as i'm reading about your dreams) am i realizing that the black-shape monster that was haunting my dreams when i was growing up, that i ended up killing, i am just now realizing that it was actually my dark side, and not some external entity. so, i wonder what the great whites are. not like it matters, i ripped the lower jaw off of the last one.
i don't think i've ever changed places, though. being the antagonist, i mean. i think i was always the victim, defending myself and my loved ones from some monster. i don't think all of them were actually me, but now i realize that at least one of them was. question is, what was i subconsciously killing? an aspect of myself? or merely an idea? and if the black shape is truly dead, then why all the other "monsters"?
anyway, celesweetleaf, my mom was in an abusive relationship, and he was nice at the start. they always are nice in the beginning. but then he showed his true colors, and proved to be a real mean *******. point is, if he scares you, ditch him now while you have the chance, and do what a friend of mine did: get a bigger, nicer guy, to keep the bad one from being a future problem.

Anyways, I had three dreams last night!
One was about going on an excusion again. However, I can recall any details apart from a clumsy waiter in a restaurant.
The second was... terrifying. The moon was growing bigger and bigger, but also it got farther away from Earth, and in the end it started to bend and attract whole galaxies. It was pretty scary from my perspective.
The third dream was about some special agents having a mission in a dessert. The mission was never revealed to me and the dream just circled around two agents complaining how hot the dessert is.

Oh, you think that I wanted to say 'desert'.
Well, nope. I meant and wrote dessert because that's what I dreamt about - agents on a mission in a dessert. I don't know what it's called tho because I have no knowledge of the names of many cullinary dishes, however it surely wasn't a dry, barren landscape.

Well, that's how desserts look when my aunt makes them XD
But man, there isn't nothing more weird when you dream about that how your best friend(in my case female) winking at you like drugged, and your (male friend, again in my case XD) stands next to you like nothing happens...lol
There is one good theory: Maybe I wouldn't dream this, to i am not sitting on cold stairs... 
I remeber when someone from my family was joking and said me: "You can free use drugs, to be alcoholic...BUT DAMN IT!JUST DON'T SIT ON COLD FLOOR(or stairs)!"

I got a mouse back recently, and since I haven't used one in years I wanted to try out a bit of cs. Of course my skills are rusty, but it's okay against bots. Not much fun, but I found out I've had dreams about several counter strike maps I used to play. Rather funny way to find out, and it made me a little dizzy when playing some of the maps.
Also.. I'm an AWP snow!

I've heard of people who've experiences years while dreaming, growing up from childhood, getting a job, etc. until with a family and in the mid 40's, they suddenly wake up, being teenagers again, remember many major events (maybe only major events occurred?)

Yes, a friend of mine has had such a dream back in high school. I reminded him just a few weeks ago but he had no recollection of ever having that dream  Funny, I would not have forgotten something like that.

That must have been an awesome experience. Like getting a second chance. Imagine if you always wished to be a child again, and one day you wake up and it was all a dream, but you remember everything. Sometimes I long for that.
But I've also had friends like that, telling me a lot of stuff, when asking them about it later, they don't remember. That's how I figured a friend of mine might have been lying quite often to me, probably to impress me cause he might have been afraid I didn't want to be his friend or something similar. In any case, some of the stuff he told me (sadly I don't remember the specifics) was so bad that I'm glad that today it's obviously not true.
The only thing I remember is a story about a boy who sits on a toilet to pee and a rat comes from the sewers, jumps up and bites the boy in a way so he can't have children ... ugh  that made me afraid to ... go to the toilet

I had a dream about HC last night. The only part I can remember now is that Bak wrote a good post in which he argued that there was a lot of unrealized potential in the OSM, and it was being held back by people going off topic and talking about uninteresting things. He said it was why there was so much politics talk in the Random Thoughts thread - because in the OSM, there was too much of an expectation of continuous engagement. "Between people like Mvass and Artu", he wrote, "Any attempt to get a word in edgewise is like feeding the wrong puppy. You give it a cracker because it's cute, but then it starts following you around and begging and loses its fur from disease and you have to clean up after it when it leaves something in your shoes."

I had a fun one last night. I was living with two flatmates in an apartment that was divided to small rooms around a hall with a spiral staircase between the two floors of the building. Downstairs was living room, kitchen and a greenhouse, that's right, a real greenhouse, how cool is that? Jungle in your own apartment. Upstairs was personal rooms. 2 for each.
We also had a housekeeper/janitor/chef or something of the sort, basically a guy who did housework for us a couple times a week. Dishes, cleaning, taking care of the greenhouse and stuff. A really tall asian guy and saying he didn't like me would be an understatement, he seemed to be a constant agitated state when I was around. I might have pestered him a little too much when he was working though.
My flatmates were women, one around 28 or something, black haired, northern chinese looking, just little short of 170, very independent, almost felt secretive. The other one 20 or 19 blonde, definitely northern europe but couldn't place her on the map, very short, 152 or so, total ditz, in a good way though. Kind of like that adorable but so totally hopeless pet rabbit or a puppy you might have. She had just moved in recently after our old flatmate had moved out.I had lived there for some time before that, the asian woman the longest out of us. For what I knew the guy had been working for the tenants of the house since forever, he wasn't that old though, maybe 23 or so.
One day the blonde was making a ruckes in her other room, accompanied with excited shouts, like a kid who has just found a candy bar. After this went on for a while me and the asian went to check what the hell was she up to. We arrived at the blonde's second room at the same time and immediately facepalmed mentally. What opened before us was not a view to a regular room. It was a room modeled after a clothing store, complete with mannequines. All with an overwhelming pink shade.
The blonde was smiling from ear to ear, wearing the most ridiculous "sunglasses" I've ever seen that could be from one of those kids' shows they show on US tv. Apparently now she could go shopping whenever she wanted without having to go outside. What brilliant deductive skills! We shook our heads and just wondered what the snow we should do with her.
Another time I was pestering the guy as he was doing dishes. He was just about ready to wish me down to the lowest of all the hells as I saw the asian chick walk across the upper floor and I asked the guy if he knew what the hell that woman actually does for a living, seeing as he had been there longer than I had. A chilling ominous feeling set upon the room and all anger he had felt at me just kind of vanished. After a minute of silence all I got was "I wouldn't look into it too deeply if I was you." After he was done with the dishes he went to take care of the greenhouse. I climbed up the stairs to my room and couldn't help but remember a certain comic strip of elven:

Okay, last night I dreamt of meeting up with my old army teammates in our old base. It was late spring, May probably. I was on my way there with my motorcycle, speeding quite fast. 170 on the road and 280 on the motorway. I need to pull over to gas it up and while there I meet one of my teammates who is on his way there too. Getting closer to the base we seem to somehow all find each other on the road. At the base there's also two of my old friends outside of the team. We goof up for a while and then go get some grub from the canteen. After that we find our trainer waiting outside. It also starts snowing. "And how many exactly arrived with a motorcycle?", I ask. 12 out of us raise their hands and everyone bursts out laughing.
Today I read from the news that they gave away the flag of the brigade, finalizing the closing of that particular base. Weird coincidence, huh?
