Some of my dreams are just... premonitions (and not in the usual sense as "warning" everybody of a disaster  ).
It happened a lot for me to dream about a specific moment in my life . Even if it isn't significant, like for example: I walk on a street and I turn my head for something (not important or critical at all), and then in RL I completely remember that dream I had, which was exactly as in RL, even if it wasn't significant.
I dreamt a lot of these some time ago (now it happens less frequently), but I always remember the exact moment in the dream (and the dream) when I am at that specific moment in RL. I don't remember the dream before that moment though.
By the way, the "moment" which I described above can last for even 2 seconds (short as hell, but very "premonitial" feeling attached to it though). And no I usually did not experience that moment in my life before, in case you ask. Is it weird or what?

I have had two experiences where I might have been severely harmed. Once when the handle I was holding on my childhood fortress came off and I fell backwards(was a bit high but fortunately there was something under me and didn't fall down) and when my father's car had a break failure and we were accelerating downhill for about 5 mins until we crashed on a tree before entering a more used road 
In the first case it was too fast to even understand the danger and the second I was always under the belief that we'll hit something and it will stop. Heh talk about optimism...
Maybe that only happens when you are truly afraid you will die, it's happened to people I know.

I used to get that when I was a little younger but I am not sure if it was deja vu or I had seen it in a dream the previous night. Has not happened in a long while at least that I remember of.

Maybe it's strange...
I don't know why but in all of my nightmares, when I'm about to get killed or something (for example, once there was a bear chasing me and it GOT me at some point), I 'know' it's just a dream and I say that to myself, and next I become a 'god' in that dream (I can do whatever I want - ex: kill the bear instantly with my mind). Strange huh?
Shortly after, I wake up.
But anyway, I didn't have any nightmares in a LOOONG time (not joking, not sure why )
Oh and there's another funny thing: every time I run away from someone/something and I get to a car, that car always seems to be unlocked and ready to be stolen

Well there are times when I will myself out of the dream, force myself to wake up but I don't used god mode  The transition from dream to awareness is like the dream fading and revealing the underneath layer of reality. The feelings seem to fade away as well.

Are you sure you're not talking about Deja Vu?

I was walking down a grassy field towards what looked like a beach, and I saw a huge crowd of people. From the looks of it, they were taking part in some sort of festival. There was an elevated wooden podium nearby, and standing up there was Andy Fletcher (of the Depeche Mode fame)! I ran up and said hello to him, all the while searching my pockets for a pen and paper. I asked him for an autograph, and he signed a slip of paper for me. Right after that, I turn around and begin to walk away. As I was leaving the scene, I heard an announcement over a nearby loud speaker that called everybody's attention to me. I guess they wanted me to pay for the autograph I just received. Anyway, the crowd began to chase after me and I did my best to stay well ahead of them.
Then the dream ended.

First I'll quote myself from an another thread.

Sounds strange doesn't it. but it is still true in my dreams(another nice line here).
Here's a dream that I have seen repeatedly:
It's fall and it's raining heavily. The wind is blowing hardly from the north and since our summer cabin's is on the southern shore it's blowing straight to shore. I barely get ashore without running to rocks. When I get ashore I hurry around making sure everything is alright and nothing is left out in tht way of an upcoming storm. Then I go to Sauna which I had put warming just before going fishing. After going to sauna I just stand on the end of our pier and watch the storm gather its full force around me and enjoy feeling its power. (That's something I do in real world too. )
After a while I take sausages from the sauna's oven and make myself some late night dinner. While eating I feel someone walking to the door. Quite light person judging from the steps. (Our whole cabin trembles when someone walks on the terrace or in the cabin so you can feel the steps.) I get up and walk to the window to see who might it be at a time like this but it isn't anyone I know. It's a young woman with long dark hair. She knocks on the door. I go to open the door. She just stands there so I quide her in. Since she is all wet I give her a towel and go trying to find some clothes that would fit her. While looking for suitable dry clothes for her I ask why didn't she go in one of the houses earlier on the road? She says there was no one home. Being the Fall vacation time it's no wonder. I finally find some clothes that may fit and point her to a bedroom where she can change. She goes to change and I close the curtain and ask if she'd like some warm tea or black currant juice perhaps? "Juice is fine", she answers.So I put some juice into a kettle on the cooker and add some wood in to the fire.
After a while she comes out from the bedroom. She isn't very tall maybe 170 or a little under. Her eyes are shining with intelligence. Luckily she is quite slim so my mother's clothes fit her eventhough she is a little taller than my mother. I point her to the table and take a seat opposite to her myself.
-How come you'r wandering around at this weather, I asked.
-My car broke down on the road.
-Why didn't you just call road service?
-The storm messes up mobile phone network.
I take a look at my cell phone. It has no connection. Damn.
I get up and take the black currant juice from the cooker and pour it into two mugs. The other one I hand to her.
-I could drive you somewhere if you need me to. The town is only ten kilometers from here.
-In a storm like this! And in the middle of the night!What would I do there? No motel is open at these hours.
-True, and I'm not even sure if there is one in town. You can sleep in the other bedroom. We'll call someone to come and take a look at the car in the morning.
-Does this suit you?
-Yes it does.Thank you.
-No problem. I'll go make the bed.
-Need help with that?
-Sure.
We get up and go to make the bed for her.
-So where were you driving?, I asked her
-Home for the holidays.
-Ah.
When she leans to get the sheet under the matress I can see a cross hanging in a chain around her neck. Its and orthodox cross. Her dialect also suggests that she is from the eastern part of Finland
-Do you live far from here?
-Only a couple of hundred kilometers from here.
I also find out that she studies in an university in Helsinki before going to sleep.
Now here there are two options which way the dream will go either:
When I wake up in the morning I find a note on the table which says she is thankful and has already called help for her car and is on a bus to home. She has signed the note but I always wake up before I get to read her name.
or I go for a killing spree with her but I'm too tired to write about that.

That's...very detailed and lifelike. Can you control your actions in that dream or does it feel like a predetermined path? As for the killing spree I'm not sure what to think

Well after doing something 8 times (8 times I remember but there might be more) exactly the same way you start to remember it pretty well.
I always do everything the same way which might mean predetermined but maybe I do it because that's what I would do in RL.
As for the killing spree it involves me and her with knives and a lot of dead innocet people (I don't wanna get into details here but if someone want's to know how a throat should be sliced then I'm your man). After a huge amount of slicing and dicing of soldiers on a top of a fell we win. We just stand there in the middle of blood and bodies knowing it's over. We're all peacefull and then out of the blue we kill each other simultaneously.
Sometimes when I'm nearly awake I realise I'm in a dream and just sit back and enjoy the illusion I'm in. This usually leads into a loop because my sub-consius shuts down and the dream won't move ahead. I have experienced some of the strangest things when the dream continues even when I'm awake though.
Ever tried to do a backflip at the breakfast table?
PS.Don't try it hurts like hell.

I've been having one of the weirdest sreams ever. I don't know If you guys ever had it, but my dreams continue. Well, that sounds a bit weird. What I mean is, I have a dream. Now, I usually get up early, so the dream ends. Now, it always seems as if the dream's not done yet. So, I get up, while I wonder how it would've finished if I hadn't woke up.
The rest of the day, I forget about it. It can take even a couple of days.
And the next night, I dream on in some weird way...I watch the dream continue...Really awkward.
Do you understand me? It sounds a bit strange even in my ears...

That's what I had in mind with the killing spree Seems totally out of place though, it does not seem to be a logical continuation of the dream. Maybe you are stressed and want to release some energy when you get this path?
I have never experienced a loop. When I realize I'm in a dream I can will myself to wake up or play along but I rarely get full control of my actions.

I too can force myself to wake up when I realise I'm in a dream but usually I just try to stay in it as long as I can. It usually stops a while after I realise it's a dream. Usually this results in a loop when I try to keep the dream going on it just jumps a little back and starts looping.
Sometimes the dream doesn't start looping but instead it doesn't seem to end resulting in some very strange happenings like the one above.

Well a friend who was a quake addict at some time managed to control his dreams so that he could run, jump over buildings or randomly kill people knowing full well that it is a dream
In another instance he could shape the dream to his will as create a sea which is...awe-inspiring to say the least. At best I have only influenced my actions - never the environment. Of course I don't have any recurring dreams that I remember off so little change to become aware that it is a dream. And of course when I have real senses in a dream it's pretty hard to tell even if I question myself.

I saw the dream again (probably because I have been thinking about it a lot while writing these) but this time I tried to get in to "God mode" while in it. Needless to say it didn't go as planned.
It all started well when I was able to create a flock of seagulls and a bear in the evening. Then in the morning when the woman was already gone I tried to get her to appear and quess what? It worked! Then I got looped.
I believe the explanation to all this is that I have enough of memories about seagulls and bears that I can control them but because I don't know anything about the woman she can not appear out of place in the dream.

I've always thought that we subconsciously control the dream, what others do or say but if we don't have enough info on something it may even do illogical things
Last days I can't remember my dreams, maybe it's because I go to bed very late.
